can see why Konig would sign for Sky, they did bring the one of the best stage races currently and won the tour two years in a row and since Porte has proven that he can't handle the team pressure so Konig might replace him as second in command.
still not the smartest move he could ever make
If you think Porte won't lead in a GT next season then you are crazy, most likely see Konig get his chance at the Vuelta.
has Porte ever finished a GT in a good position?
7th in Giro? I consider that pretty solid
That was the Giro with the 15 minute break that saw guys like Peter Velits podium.
Anyhow, I guess with only 3 GTs per year it's hard to distinguish
P.S. I wanted to use that clip today, but you didn't go full retard luckily

When Peter Velits finishes ahead of you, you know you're not so godd
Velits also finished 3rd in the 2010 vuelta, he's not that bad.

Velits finished 3rd in the Vuelta (then 2nd when Mosquera got busted), not the Giro.
And saying when you finished behind Velits, you know your bad.. That's untrue. Your talking about a man who finished top 5 in Alpe d'Huez on merit.

Ah, my mistake. Still was the huge break though, right? Cause he didn't do much on any individual stage.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

Porte indeed was from the huge break. Velits wasn't in the Vuelta, was on merit. He won against Menchov and Cancellara in a TT.
come one guys. Porte has a lot a GT material..no way Köning will pass him on that list after 3 slave years.
After 2013 tour I still believe that Porte can achieve podium places at GT.

he has but he can't handle the pressure. the last three years he stood out thanks to losing huge chunks of time on not really hard stages (over 9! minutes once). this year too, he was expected to take over after Froome crashed out by Sky but he failed. that's why I think that Porte can't handle the pressure of leading a team. which König has done quite well at NetApp
edit: quite similiar to Popovych behind Armstrong

That is true that Konig did well on the Tour by finishing #7 but he was on a continental team and there's no pressure but Porte was under pressure because team sky had won the GT in 2012 and 2013.
Belkin seem to be losing a lot of riders, not sure who they're buying. But seem to be thin in the GT with Mollema gone and with Boom gone, Vanmarcke doesn't have that much support for the cobbled classics.

Jetse Bol has to leave. He doesn't get a new contract. I've only heard they signed Van Asbroeck (on this forum, not official), Mike Theunissen and Bert-Jan Lindeman.

YEAH! A slave less for Sky. As an italian I never liked him being in Team Sky.
On another note always Team Sky is going to sign Viviani and is dealing with the young Filippo Ganna and Sonny Colbrelli -.-
At least they aren't climbers

that wasn't even the moment I thought of but you're right, sometimes it's good to read news, which I do. I do admit of having trouble with remembering news that's older than a day.
Spoiler
no need to talk so demeaning, at least that's how it came over
