i like your stats very much. do you also have Sprinters ?

Quinten Hermans had a good ride in Tour de Wallonie, could use a puncheur upgrade.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

For sprinters, here is something that I have been trying out lately:
Take every sprinter with a SP stat of 75 or more, add 3 points to SP.

This removes non-sprinters from most of the finales, with very little other impact to the game. I have so far not encountered any issues with SP 84 or 85 riders and they will lose to lesser SP sprinters depending on daily form.

The game really struggles to recognize sub 80 SP guys as good sprinters, and with +3 SP this lets the game understand that it is dealing with actual sprinters.

(If you want to spend a lot of time doing this, you could also add +2 to the 73-74 guys and +1 to 71-72 guys. I would only bother if you focus on Conti/Pro-conti races)

James Whelan ?? Australia, trainee EF Education winner Tour of Flanders U23.
Shouldn't he be in the DB ?

Perhaps a small lift for Julius Johansen Denmarks new powermachine.

That's if not all time is spent on the high end blokes getting up or down a point or two raising anger from some, joy for others in the endless debate on what should be correct in an imossible scaling.

In the end it will probably never be "correct", but if it looks to function with not total crazy results than consider it a good choice of stats. It takes 100s test runs of all types to be certain of course. Good Luck.

I think Mollema could deserve a bit of a Hill upgrade. He always is the strongest guy on the last climb in the Klasikoa. It is a short and very steep climb at highest effort, so the hill stat should be the one that matters.
Just a little bit, from the actual 78 to 79 i would suggest.

We're almost finished with the post Tdf Stat release and will be released soon.

We would just like to hear anything you disagree with in our v2 release. Also would like to hear how the following riders fares in results and development:

Bernal
Alaphillipe
Calmejane
Gallopin
Miguel Angel Lopez
Hofstetter
Capiot
Chernitskiy

Lastly, please PM me if you want an almost finished stat update DB to do some sim testing with. Please only ask if you intend to help us. Look for results in big races, surprising rankings, riders developing too much etc.

Miguel Angel Lopez has 84 Mountains after the first season and is unstoppable in GTs. This might be a problem of the fast progressions. Bernal for example is not developing this fast.

Yellow Jersey
Bernal - 80Mon, 76Hil, 71TT, 70STA, 75RES, 74REC
Spoiler
I think he's gave more than needed, I could even rate him higher but obviously it's too soon for that. Beast on long climbs and very punchy in attacks, seems to have dealt both with long stages in the Tour, and even though not fighting for GC he was strong until the final stage

Alaphillipe - 74Mon, 83Hil, 77STA, 79RES, 71REC, 84DOW, 72spr, 82ACC
Spoiler
He can climb that's certain, but long climbs over 15Km he may struggle, if he doesn't in the first he'll blow up in the second (see alpe dhuez stage, Paris nice queen stage). Very explosive, very good in unpredictable explosive race with plenty of attacks, but if taken at tempo he doesn't have what it takes to hang with the best. I'd say he's perfectly suited to breakaway riding as he can be the strongest in races packed with attacks and accelarations.

Calmejane - 73FLA, 75MON, 75HIL, 75RES
Spoiler
He was good in the Tour but I know he has better legs than the ones he showed. Last year he dominated the PCT French scene, mega stage in the Tour. He is a puncheur, a powehouse well suited to classics who can do long climbs well (similar to Benoot, but without the cobbles).

Gallopin - 74FLA, 74MON, 77HIL, 73TT, 78PRL, 77RES, 72SPR
Spoiler
Not easy to rate him. He's won Besseges ITT two years in a row now, very strong on that type of race as he is another powerhouse who can climb, just like Calmejane. Canada last year he showed he can sprint, and Dauphine this year shows how well he can climb when phisically good, just had bad luck with crashes after Dauphine.

MAL - 81MON, 76HIL, 75RES
Spoiler
Not much to say. He is very strong, but horrible bike handler, plenty of crashes that bring down his overall quality. He is obviously a mega climber, low Res cause although he is very strong he hasn't had that click to put him with the best. TT i'd say like 69 as he hasn't recently shown great performances there, plus a lightweight rider (but he does have a good past in TT's)

Hofstetter - 77SPR, 76ACC, 71HIL decent backups
Spoiler
If I'm not mistaken he is still leading the French cup, very constant and reliable sprinter who's nailed some victories already this season. Few more years and it's possible for him to become a Laporte-like rider.

Capiot - 75SPR, 75ACC, decent backups and 72COB
Spoiler
He in 2016 looked very promising but had plenty of injuries in the last few times.. he has some results this year, but he did look strong when he was good so I think that 75SPR is adequate,

Chernitskiy - 75MON, 73HIL, 74RES
Spoiler
Hard to judge, last year 10th in Lombardy and looked set for a big result in Turkey, was a favourite to win. But other than that he hasn't shown much this year but if he peaks late season like last year it is not hard for me to upgrade him instantly as I know he has much potential still.

I have a question concerning the stats for the different packs. I'm just interested to know if you guys take into account past season when giving stats to riders or just their form for this season?

For example, Kittel and Poels are having bad seasons this year, so do you mark them down or do you take into account their history and keep their stats high?

What about Matteo Moschetti? Needs upgrade

"We" consider results over last years, giving more importance to latest.

That means that you won't see dumb stats like in the WorldDB, Kittel is still good but not as years ago
