Vysna putting the nails in the coffin here. Congratulations on the PT win, Roman!
Yet again nothing for us, with another injury for Novak.

It happened a lot in that stage
Well done by Wellens and Lövkvist, hope Wellens could continue with that on the last stage 6th in GC would be amazing. Lövkvist 20 ATM is very good aswell. Now Robov can give up the KoM-jersey and go all in as a helper. |

That was pretty okay by Pluchkin and Nepomnyachsniy...
Young still in the race is funny, and unpredicted...

My palms are sweating, this stage surely delivered!
Quite okay by Herklotz, especially gaining time on Olivier again was very important. I hope he can fight back against Wellens tomorrow, that's certainly a doable task. Three minutes on Dombrowski and four on Madrazo need to be preserved first as well.
And even if all those things fail, we still look at a very good Top 10 overall.
Too bad Bongiorno had a bad day and dropped massively in the GC. Maybe that allows for a better support tomorrow or even a long-range attack.
Also a great ride by Conor Dunne!

Stage of the season candidate right there!
Attacks right from the start, drama up and down the road, the Giro winner launching himself early in the stage, massive gaps appearing and disappearing, the typical random successful performance from Moser and to top it all off the home wildcarded team takes the win from the most efficacious rider of the year. Brilliant!
I was left hoping for another moment of brilliance from Machado after his attack, but Taaramae just doesn't give a chance. Still a stellar performance from my man. I just hope he can hold it for another day.
Congratulations Bushwackers

Eventful stage, thanks for the report jandal.
Bad hit to Goos' GC place, and Konig dearly missed. Still no sign of the real Andy Schleck.
At least Kudus and Eritel showed some good aggression.

Cool win for UBS!
Morton with his best day. Nuff said. Excellent report, but I'm happy when it's finally over. Dyball also not attacking. Oh what a pain this is here.

Wow, what a stage! Thank you a lot for the report, jandal7!
Cool to see Amador give home team UBS that sweet victory, congratulations! That was also a stage where things could easily have gone wrong for Taaramäe, but well done to him for controlling the race well.
Also well done to Machado for defending his 2nd place overall, not a result you would have bet on pre-race. Of course there is the final mountain stage, but that looks like a stage that comes down to only the final mountain, which should see him able to defend a podium place, I think.
For my own team, it seems like we kind of died with the abandoning of Beltran. Had some minor hopes of seeing Hoem in a breakaway attempt on this stage, but of course that turned difficult once the heavy hitters joined the action early. At least we got one final chance at joining a breakaway here! |

I was scared (and confused for a little while, a lot going on), but Taaramae delieverd at the end, pretty much securing the GC, KoM and Points. Hopefully he waont crash and burn on the last stage now... A bit dissapointed by my team, that scares me, I had hoped that they could help more than they did.
Well done by Amador to get the win at the end.

That's a great surprise! Nice to be able to do something here. Taaramae has been absolutely dominant, I didn't expect Amador to be able to win the sprint with the way Taaramae has been riding. He must have gifted him the stage
Thanks for the congrats, and thanks jandal for the exciting reports.

Tense stage and report, cheers for that!
Better from the team lately, with Salas 2nd and Alarcon trying some fun stuff here.
Taara untouchable, massiv performance, congratz for that Heine. Looks like staying up wont be too hard now.
Also cool to see Machado and Amador fair so well here. Both outperforming the stronger riders!

Even though we're not racing here (obviously), I wanted to chime in with a 'fantastic report jandal'
Not least because of this line:
Like a bullet out of a second amendment-protected gun Dombrowski attacks with pace as soon as the road turns upwards.

Thanks for all the kinds words on the reports guys But congrats most of all to Heine for Taaramäe's fantastic win! Truly dominant there. Gustav as well for Machado's good performance to keep second. UBS had a great race imo with Amador fourth + a stage (Taaramae did sprint!) and thumping the others (König staying in could've made it closer) in the Teams classification, with three in the top 15.
I feel sorry for everyone we didn't get to see the one of the all-time great duels that we could've with Taaramae vs Schleck but especially SN as Schleck goes out of stage racing with a whimper instead of a bang - clearly unlucky with the daily form randomiser. Also sorry for Tinkoff and Jayco with their races ruined by crashes - even Novikov's on the last day to deny Tinkoff even more points
Some great racing for the lower top 10 with Koch, Dombo, Vysna, Olivier, Kudus and Alarcon (and more I forgot!) all making moves in the last few days. Koch was stunning in this race, I'm also personally glad Olivier got there in the end after the rollercoaster race Aegon had here!
Also, I promise I wrote that preview bit where I predicted a lot of the day's events before the stage! I was wrong on long-range attacks unfortunately, and "Mr. Party Pooper" Vinhas ruined all the alliances Hope you enjoyed the race!

Thanks for the reports. Quality, as always!
Still happy this crap race is over. Dyball making the winning break just to get dropped was the "perfect" proper ending to this terrible race we had here. Really sucks to have Morton crashing at both T-A and TdS Dauphine just started with a disappointing Saber as well, so I'll keep whining Croatia-style for now.
Congrats to all, who scored big time. All Jayco got is a 31st place in the GC and the usual minor stuff.. terrible. Simply: terrible,

First thanks for all great reports and congrats Heine!
6th,22nd and 27th in GC is very good for us, gives us some hope that Wellens could do great in TdF. This could be a very important race/result for us in our fight for surviving in the PT this season. |

Pathetic race for Schleck, such a let down. It's like he already got his stats decrease. With Goos below par, and Konig crashing out, Kittel's win is all we can take out of this.
Eritel having a great time though. Kudus in 11th overall and only missing the Top 10 due to the mental performance of Koch. Reguigui picks up the team's 2nd victory of the season, with both him and Teklehaimanot performing well. Just a shame that Berhane got injured in the Beltran/Konig crash.

I am so done with Nepomnyachsniy crashing in basically every race...
Pluchkin podium is okay, but needed much more. AND WHY THE FUCK IS MY TEAM SO PASSIVE IN ALL RACES!?
