As horrible as the tour started as good it is running for us right now. Hopefully Mohoric can stay ahead. In theory Kump going for the win is possible to go on the podium, but very unlikely due to the love for breakaway this stage has traditionally. Still some great racing by Jans, Mohoric and Kump

It looks like Orange is off to an easy head start this year, what a race by Schreurs. I'd rather have Orange take up the points in races that we aren't competitive in though instead of another promotion contending team
14th would be good enough for Reichenbach here I suppose.

Still hoping for something on the final stage as this has been a disappointing race so far for Euskaltel.

Always fun to see the breakaway rider taking the piss on the peloton (provided you are not the sprinter).
Congratulations to jaxika with two stages in a row and CrueTrue with a huge start Down Under.

Caruso crashing out of the GC was definitely a big loss, Zingle 16th and Le Gac 22nd is okay but less than I would have hoped for. Bouhanni 6th and Lobato 8th on the final stage is hopefully a promising sign!

After the first stages i thought we wasnt score any or a few points. The team then rised up and made a double. Way better start of season then i thought. Thanks for the great reports Roturn |

As a neutral viewer this race had it all: Successful breaks, upsets and some really nice sprint finishes. Was a great read. Thanks Roturn! |

I actually was a bit disappointed by the lack of action/gaps on Willunga Hill. I give fault to the bad moment of catching the breakaway on the first climb and hence a rather slow pace on that one making no riders exhausted afterwards.
The no gaps was unlucky for those in front, lucky for Orange obviously and somehow surprising for Ulissi, which I just did not understand when checking where the favourites are.
In general I like this race a lot as it is wide open and lots of nice opportunities for special kind of riders even though in the end the best puncheurs usually take it anyway. |

First off thanks Roturn for some wonderful reports!
Breakaway stage today was a nice way to win a bet, congrats Jaxika! Congrats as well on the overall win, Crue, it's worrying that you are getting GC wins in races that you probably weren't picked for it, given all the others you'll probably get.

Should have been in that break. Great result for MOL, congrats on that. We take with us something like 29 points with Watson. He'll be given plenty of opportunities this season, and I hope he can reach 200 ,points, so a good start in that way. Thanks for all the reports, roturn

Another decent result from Pelucchi. Disappointing performance by Waeytens all around and the rest of the team could've attacked more. Thanks for the reports!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Congratulations to CrueTrue and thanks to roturn for some great reports.
Again Kraftwerk tried and failed to get the big prize.
GC 7th, 13th and 15th is good but really needed that top 5 for the goal.
Very encouraged by the great teamwork, hope we can convert this into points in future races.

Overall a good performance by Gautier around the level I want from him and nice to see the Icelandic NC on stage 5 as well as Lindau's attempt on the final stage.
Thanks for some great reports!

3 Top 15 results - while overall the perdormance was far from impressive, I think this is a step in the right direction for VMP. Too bad that Kamberaj was caught in the final meters of Stage 4.

Weird stage and slightly worried about my sprinters performance here. 2nd place is not that bad and we still come out as one of the highest scoring teams

Thank you very much to all the fans that carried Isostar to a decent race in the Tour Down Under!
Also thanks a lot for the reporting Roturn.
We as a team had 3 underwhelming, one decent (3) and two overwhelming stages (4,5). Looking at the final standings though I have to be very happy with the race, so that after the horrible DUC the first piece of work to avoid relegation is done.

Willunga not as interesting as Corkscrew, but anyway, nice victory for Schreurs here. From an Aussie point of view, Watson and Walker had a good race as well. While I had hoped for a better showing from Goss.
Thanks for the reports!

Thanks for the race roturn. 14th and 2nd in a stage is okay with me, we have never had a good race here anyway so at least we didn't come out empty handed.
