MTN will withdraw sponsorship of the Qhubeka team. According to the management the team's future is secure, though.

Oh... and Pauwels is German apparently. |

We need more spanish teams, so on that front, its definetely good (I suppose the team is spanish?)
The team is going to be be based out of Torrelavega, Cantabria - where the sponsor Aldro Energy is located. It is confirmed that former ONCE riders Herminio Diaz Zabala and David Etxebarria will be joining Manolo Saiz as part of the coaching staff on the team.
So far the team have confirmed the signing of promising young riders Pablo Alonso, Miguel Ángel Fernández, Ángel Coterillo, Miguel Ángel Santamaria and Joan Ruiz. The first four from what I know, going off their presentations and such, are Cantabrian riders while J.Ruiz is from the Balearic Islands.
By the start of the 2016 season they are planning to have roughly 20 riders signed up and while Saiz & co have been scouting the Spanish U23 races there could also be some non-Spanish signings as well. The plan is to ride U-23 and Men's Elite (Continental license) races both inside and outside of Spain.
There is where my understanding of Spanish starts to get stretched to its limits but I think Manolo Saiz is looking in to a High-Performance Training Centre... Sir Brailsford better watch out
Damn, thats some good shit! Thanks. |

Interesting decision. it doesn't really fit him but I'm glad he's trying.

Ideally, the Vuelta should just be s showdown between all the Tour and Giro-heroes, so I am glad Tejay has decided that as well. I had honestly not expected that from him. |

Certainly didn't expect to see TvG at the Vuelta but what a good decision to bypass the softer option of Colorado, I can't see him winning but it shows he is committed to becoming a true GT contender and also by doing this he can show BMC he's serious and to again go all in with him at next years TDF.

Yeah, let's start punishing everyone with sanctions that did not exist yet at the time the rules were broken.

No one likes that climb. It is like Zoncolan..where on he's peak Basso told that: You wont attack on this climb..you just hope to survive. |

In all honesty climbs like that aren't that hard, yes they are painful but the steepness means attacking is hard and all you do if you are smart is find a rhythm and hold it, the longer it holds a high gradient then it actually gets easier.

It's harder to attack but once you get rid of your opponents you can make more difference than on a lower gradient. He will suffer here unless he follows every attack, which I highly doubt. He can't ride with a tempo to match Quintana and Froome. I doubt he'll even be able to match Landa and Aru. |

Still, it is barely 7kms long, so a climber like Tejay should not loose minutes there and he can claw back some time in the TT at stage 17.
He should ride his tempo and not care about Landa or Quintana attacking...
I suppose he can have bigger problems in stages like stage 11, with several shapr mountains in succesion.

As i am checking profiles of Vuelta, isnt that one of the least backloaded GTs in recent time?
