Zakarin-bot is just 4" behind T.Martin's time at the intermediate time check!
What a time for a mechanical, the gods favour a T.Martin stage victory.
Edit #1: Simon Spilak comes home 11" down on the time of T.Martin!

Froome finishes provisional 12th and 33.46 seconds down on Tony Martin.
Edit #1: Romain Bardet quicker than Froome...

19th for Pinot by the finish, ends up some 55.74 seconds down on T.Martin's time by the finish.

Massive win for Zakarin - I know there is an assumption that he is doing something here... I am not so convinced he will be caught that quick if so.
Very impressive.
He rides the Giro next we assumed Katusha were just going for stage wins - could we see a surprise contender here?
Meanwhile Froome clearly isn't at his best - though you have to question whether he, Contador, Quintana, Nibali really are streets ahead of Pinot, Uran, Porte, Bardet, Majka, Aru as we actually think they are. Quintana, Nibali and Frpome were not so special here at all.

FroomeLite.exe literally couldn't be a more obvious case. Makes Riccó, Santambrogio and di Luca look legit. |

Hmmm..
To say something positive, VDB is looking good for the Giro!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

He was 3rd overall in Dauphine last year, so it doesn't mean much.

He crashed about three times in the first week of the Tour iirc, thus hindering his performance in the mountains. Even after that he still finished 13th which wasn't too bad.

Nice result by JVdB, Giro might be really fun this year unless Bertie is too good. I'm a bit disappointed in Ludvigssons TT, expected him to atleast knock on the top-10 today. |
