it's sacred since Giro says it is (just copied the video discription ). the Italian weather has surprised me before . I doubt that the climb before will make much difference. even if Nibali might get some time on the downhill but the endclimb is too far away and the inclimb (is that even a term?) is too easy.
Ah ok typical Italians trying to drum up excitement Hmm probably but at least they're including it, without we'd probably have people like Bouhanni contesting for the stage

Based on how the Giro was raced this year (apart from stage 16 and the mountain ITT), I expect nothing from that stage tbh. Bouhanni would be a good pick - maybe stretching it a little... |

Finally! I understand why some people began to like him the last couple of years besides Australians, but I have never jumped on that wagon. |

4 year ban for Iglinski it seems.
So basically he can also retire I guess as he won`t be the guy making the come back with 34.

I doubt OGE would have been interested in him

Lefevre must be a farmer. Like farmers he always appears mad in the media. Personally I'm glad I don't have to pick the belgian squad. Even though Lefevre might have a point, I just want to say that the best riders don't always make the best team.
Present:
Tinkoff-Saxo - AG2R - Colombian riders
Past:
Francisco Mancebo - Illes balears - Carlos Sastre - Kelme - Robbie McEwen

Lefevre is an idiot. Hermans and Vansummeren are perfect to work. Vansummeren can pull the pack for 200KMs.
In other news, Degenkolb is in the hospital on antibiotics. He says he still wants to ride the WC, but for me he won't be top favourite anymore.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I'm finding it hard to decide where to post things. Inner ring linked to this article which is worth the read:

But Frischkorn suggests that there were also several other American riders who decided to take a different direction. He cites some well-known riders who were utilizing EPO programs during the Saturn years, and who had “unnatural” performance breakthroughs. “People knew it – that EPO could really change their performance.” Frischkorn tells of one older rider – still active in the professional peloton – who essentially explained to him the ropes of EPO usage; where to buy it, how to store it, and how to use it
Hmmm so Horner or Danielson I think. Most likely is Horner since Danielson is already a known doper in the past and not sure what harm it would have done to Tom for admitting he doped even earlier than Discovery Channel.
Lets look at Horner's results
2001 - Nothing of note
2002 - Nothing of note
2003 - Nothing of note
2004 - Top 10 at WC and 11th at Lombardia....

"On the other hand, Frischkorn thinks it’s important to point out that there were other riders, like him, who managed to ride clean throughout their careers, and still enjoy fairly good success. In the European peloton from this time frame, names like David Moncoutie and Christophe Bassons are often mentioned. Frischkorn cites former teammate Danny Pate, now with Team Sky, as a good example of a rider who has ridden clean, and managed to stay at the top of the sport for a long time."
Interesting. If true, then Pate has just gone up a lot in my eyes.

This explains his 2013 Vuelta, looks like he mastered late season peaking while running out of contract 10 years earlier

I read that he wants to ride all 3 GT`s. So apparently the Giro is a goal. |

Actually, not big surprise hearing recent news from Italy. RSI is planning to do easiest Giro yet in order to attract best GT riders and making the Giro-Tour actually doable.
There were the rumours, and it seems it might happen. Nibali will be another that will do Giro-Tour if these plans are true, which definitely looks like it.

We'll must say I never seen that one coming, giro-tour double next year seems possible with easier giro ,wonder many other GC guys thinking of doing the same .
