I hope Roche will attack on the last climb and win it^^.
German TV had the headline today that both Thibaut and Pinot gave up today |

And Hoste, Gusev and Van Petegem were disqualified for not stopping even though the barriers were down

While Boonen, Ballan and Flecha also ignored the barriers (but after the train had passed) and were not disqualified

Gentlemen, I just consulted the rulebook, and §43.b clearly states that train stopping the pack means everyone must finish their drinks.

If I remember correctly they actually stopped because the train was passing right when they were about to cross the railroad. They started riding again right after the train passed so they knew there was no danger

You can only start after the barriers are up. (There could be a second train coming)
Edit: What's most funny about seeing these images again is that there was a time when Gusev was a Paris-Roubaix contender

Your commentators discuss the UCI elections? Even if they don't get the names right, I'm still impressed.

He was riding for Discovery. Expect in 8 years Sky to have someone for Paris - Roubaix as well

They talk about everything, people love them here. I remember when eurosport showed Froome's interview, and they were talking about what will they have for dinner.

Classy Hansen. Seen at letour.fr at the live following of the race.
Hansen's other job: creating a management program for pro teams
LeTour.fr spoke with one of the riders who is in the escape today before the Tour and asked about his life away from cycling. Adam Hansen came to road racing via mountain biking but he is also a computer programmer. He developed an online management system that he's sold to his Lotto-Belisol team.
“It's an online database where the logistics lady puts in all the races and adds the riders programs as they're devised. There's also fields for all the other staff: the soigneurs, mechanics, directeurs sportif… so, when we get our programs, we don't get just a basic email as happened in the past, we can log on and see the full calendar," explained Hansen.
"We know what our races are, who will be there with us, what hotels we'll have, and it also includes our ‘Whereabouts Program'. It's like a central meeting point, really. There are also message options so if there is any need for communication between the relevant staff, it can be done in one location. All the information is there, including all the smaller details like if phone numbers change and that sort of thing. It's also got the contact details of everyone on our team.
“The riders have to do a report on how they feel in a race: what they expected, their feelings on tactics and all sorts of information. The sports directors see that and they can make their report on the riders. And that all gets reviewed at the end of every month.”
More from Hansen: interesting language skills...
When LeTour.fr spoke with Adam Hansen about his interests aside from cycling we asked: how many languages do you speak? His answer was far from the standard one...
“Computer programming languages, I speak five: PHP, MySQL, ASP, VB, Java – actually, and Javascript as well, if you want to include that. And, I've forgotten one that I used to know.
“Normal languages… uhm, some would say I don't speak English very well, so I accept that: my English is not very good. And as for other languages, I have a good understanding of some but I wouldn't say I speak any fluently.”
He'll be one of my fav riders from now on.
