Pozzovivo spends his whole career at Panaria. Then when they become clean thos year he leaves
Actually, he stayed with Panaria for so long because he was almost a "part-time" rider. They gave him some leverage so he could finish his studies (he finished writing his thesis- "Southern politics from the unity of Italy up to now"- last year) and only became a full time cycling pro this year. Hence the move to AG2R.
He wasn't full time last year with Colnago?
From what I read, this was the first year he was fully committed to cycling.

Pinotti is Italian, and can climb. Not that well mind
Good call. He'd be my first pick.
Regarding Pozzovivo, I still remember him flying up Passo Fedaia in the 2008 Giro to finish 2nd behind his team mate Sella, while dropping Contador, Ricco, Di Luca, Menchov... Hilarious stuff

Pozzovivo also has no problems buying a race.

All I can remember about Pozzovivo is that Bertagnolli.'s affidavit said that he was hurting everyone on the climbs and Ferrari put that down to being about 50kg. As far as I can remember no drugs were mentioned and I certainly think he would have more results if he were doping. He is easily one of the least reliable riders in the bunch.

Believe me, I understand perfectly that people will be all giddy and going overboard with the excitement of getting rid of McQuaid
Even more when the man who should replace him can be easily on his quest to cover the new reborn US Postal, just on an island closer to continental Europe...
But that is just too conspirational, anyone is better than McQuaid i believe.
Edit: If i read correct, he is head of british cycling from 1997? We all know how much dirt and strange rocket success happened in british cycling since then...

Stuart O'Grady has re-signed with OGE, and confirmed he will retire after the 2014 TDF. Legend proper legend. |

Stupid move from GreenEDGE, imo. Renewing an old rider who'll soon retire, while they continue missing out on talented youngsters like Earle.
Time to bring in a proper climber.

A person like O'Grady is essential in any team. Though Earle has been brilliant in the national races. OGE didn't put a bid in for him which seems odd. |

O'Grady is not a rider I would want around my young riders for one more year.

Surprise, surprise...
Contradictory to what he said earlier, Scinto now claims that Vini Fantini will stay in the peloton. Valerio Sciotti has promised to finance them for the rest of this season and 2014.
Real shock that the guy who pushed for them to hire Di Luca isn't bothered by two positives within two weeks.
Any bets on who they'll bring in for next year? Ricco, anyone?

Great that Vini Fantini will continue as a team. They should bring in Pozzato to win RvV and Roubaix. |
