Uran knows Vinokourov pays good money. |

Cause they'll get a leading role at Astana or OPQ???
Which stage racer in those teams is better as Uran? Except of Nibali ofcourse.
They also want a big pay check.

If Uran wants to be an absolute leader, he should go to Argos - Shimano. Simple as that

Yes.
As long as Nibali doesn't mind targeting the Giro, the role for Tour leader is wide open. Considering Astana's current choice is Fuglsang, they could certainly use a Henao or an Uran.
As for OPQS, the only real problem is Cav. Nevertheless, a team like that obviously wants to have a competitive GT leader.

Cannondale looks good for him, but then I remember he would have no help at the Tour, as everyone on the team would have to help Sagan. |

Plus, they probably don't have anywhere near enough money as long as Sagan is around.

He was sick over winter a lot, so struggled in early season. We'll see how he performs at Tour.
But we all kinda know he doped at Sky, no matter if Sky knew or not.
Uran is more believable, and will perform in other teams surely. However I don't view Uran as any GC threat as all, way to inconsistent for that mostly. Still good climber to have.

I wanted to react to this saying Uran is still young but it is his 8th pro year already.

He is the same age as Henao. Must have been an easy choice for Sky.

Wonder what Porte's role will be, though.
I remember reading somewhere that he has been promised leadership at next year's Giro so that would be it. I guess Wiggins would be starting to get a touch too old as of next year and Porte has shown enough promise and is a similar enough rider to be his replacement and a second GT man. Things get more complicated if they keep Henao, however.
I love how everyone saw this coming - everyone knew that every rider was good enough for GT leadership and it would come back to bite Brailsford et al.

I read something a while ago that Orica (and another team who i've forgotten) were after Uran.

Every good rider going out of Sky is good news (yeah, i dislike them a lot). I wonder where Uran will end and how he will perform outside of Sky, together with anyone else leaving.
Astana has Nibali and upcoming Aru, but they can probably still find Uran a leading role for Tour. I would like to see him at some medium profile team like AG2R or Vacansoleil.

Does it ever needed mention? :L
I think it was clear if a rider produced bigger data than when he was doped, that should only mean one thing.. Don't see point arguing that at all.
Avin That'd be nice move for Uran, but he's almost guaranteed to go a team like OPQS or GreenEdge. Vacansoleil as a team is still not certain of it's future for next year as well btw.

Indeed, Vacansoleil seems like too much of a risk.
Also started considering Katusha an option after looking through the WT squads. With Purito not getting any younger and Moreno apparently unwilling to lead the team himself, Uran could form a nice alternative duo together with Spilak. They should easily have the money for him, at least.
Lampre is another possibility. With Scarponi rumoured to leave after this season, they'll have some extra money. Especially now that Merida are in with a big sponsorship.

Lampre and Katusha look like a good possible options indeed.
