Good ride for Senan
Too bad he lost time in the previous stage.
My understanding of a crit series is that this doesn't matter at all
It's 3 am here. I have an excuse
It's 2am here

@all: Glad you enjoy the racing. Final race will be posted now!
@SN: Bennett is indeed weird, as he should have had good chances (stat-wise). Don't know what went wrong there, you just have to hope he will do better during the season

Nice and thrilling sprint with once again Sutton being the strongest. Great start for him this season.
Also Edmondson with another good result as 14th.
Obviously he always helped Howard the get 2nd overall. |

Nice to read these reports tsmoha! Looking forward to the next crit's
The results are quite intresting. It seems like having a lead out rider for your sprinter is very important if you want to fight for the win.

Enjoyable reading, really makes me look forward to the season start (even though my team got no racing before February). Well done by Risa-Ergon, nice to start a season I believe will be hard with 3 stages by Sutton and the overall win

Bennett was pretty hopeless all of last year. Maybe he still thinks this is the PT and hasn't realized yet he might have a change here.
Petrie-Armstrong is pretty miffed though - the team have him riding for a sprinter he keeps finishing higher than.... |

Great job with the reports, interesting read even without any of my riders racing.
I've always been a fan of crits in PCM, i'm sure the real crit series will be more successful than Deadpool's try some years ago.

Great reports and fantastic criteriums. Well done tsmoha
Morton's Top 10 and the win are really great as well to start the season of unofficially.

He did ok in Avenir last year, and does have better stats now. I blame jet lag

Wow Sutton, incredible dominance. Happy with Hansen's performance really, one second place and attacking in all flat stages, plus tied for 9th in GC is very nice.
Great work tsmoha.

Many thanks for this tsmoha, sorry that Oz Cycling have not put last season's results behind them yet.
Really good to see so many current and former Red Bull riders mixing it up and CJ did pick up some nice wins in his first year. Quite the thrill to see him ride so well here.
What is also nice is to see how the sprint mechanics look pretty good in this edition. Not sure the hill stage will be much of a prediction for things to come with the five man teams.
Super idea and really nice execution. SRB riders Sulzberger and Cooper definately had a lot of fun I think.

Finally a decent attempt by Meyer. It is difficult to rely on others lead-outs, especially when everybody else is doing it as well. It is going to be interesting to see how the sprints in Qatar goes, with a more quality field.

@all: Thank your for your participation and/or following! It was fun to race this series and good to see that many of you managers gave their votes and support. Really appreciate it.
So, as I stay in Down Under to watch the DU Classic, hope to see you there

Announcement regarding the Crits Series 2013 As the official MG-season kicked off, it's time to give you some first details regarding the soon-to-begin Crits Series, that roturn and me had announced a couple of days ago.
You'll find a schedule for the series, where we also will update the list of winners and rankings. This thread won't function as a discussion-thread, only as an overview.
Note 1/ We do not intend to fix any deadlines for this crits to take place, so please don't ask when a certain criterium is going to begin. We do have an idea of when to run those crits (e.g. the post-tour-crit right after Le Tour).
Note 2/ Changes for this schedule cannot be ruled out.
Note 3/ The rules for the crits will look similar to the rules we had for the Bay Classics, but just as for the schedule, we may change some rules here and there, if we think it's needed.
Note 4/ The first "official" crits series (South Africa) is likely (!) to begin soon. We will let you know, when the thread will be online.
