What did I write? I must be stupid!? The stages are for PCM11 not 10
That's exactly what I wanted to answer. But I may try to play this variant if there's a PCM11-story made by me in the future
@Olympus: Thank you very much!
NOTE: I'm bit lazy in stagemaking atm, so it may take a while to finish this variant. But it will be finished, that's promised!

I'll wait to you to start a story ... to you, to Pellizotti, Emmea, ... all the greastest stagemakers !!! |

Thank you very much, Giroalberto, for the kind words! I don't think I'm as great as Pellizotti2 or Emmea, but it's nice to get such feedback I will finish the Vuelta as soon as I've finished my PCM10-story (some will know)!
But first, I've decided to share a small fantasy tour I've made: Tour du Canada! Some of you will know, that I've made one for PCM10, too (used in my story), but as I lost the stage-files, I wanted to do a new one for PCM11. In consultation with valverde321, who wants to do a fanatasy-GT in Canada, I will now present my 7-stages-edition to you:
Tour du Canada, 7 Stages
7 Stages. Vancouver. In and around Greater Vancouver.. all stages start in the heart of Vancouver, British Columbia, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The race kicks off with a short, but steep mountain timetrial up the Simon Fraser University Hill in Burnaby. The next two stages will be Circuit Races in Richmond and Coquitlam, mostly flat, but with some tricky climbs, that probably won't hurt the sprinters too much though.. The fourth stage will feature the first summit finish: Cypress, in Northern Vancouver. The climb is "just" 6% in average, but due to it's length, it will definitely give the top-favourites a chance for a late attack.. After another flat Circuit Race (in Surrey), which may be the hardest of the three flat stages, we will hit another summit finish: the queen-stage up the Mount Seymour! And last, but not least, the riders face a 24km flat ITT in Western Vancouver, that may give a weaker climber the chance to improve in GC.. Hope you will like it!

Awesome race.
But it`s more Tour of Vancouver than Tour of Canada.

Thank you very much, baia and roturn! Means a lot!
@roturn: Yeah, could be Tour of Vancouver But as I first started on a "classic" stage-race starting from Edmonton, I've planned this one only as a variant for a Canada-tour.
@baia: Which date.. I don't know exactly.. something between June and September maybe And yes, I used a filter, something like "contrast filter" I think.

Stage 14: Almazán - Zaragoza
Another flat stage before we reach the crucial stages of this Vuelta! It's a long stage and some riders may struggle with now two weeks of racing.. but anyway: it's maybe the last chance for the sprinters to take a stage-win before the final stage. Their teams have to work hard, but it's worth the effort.

Seems like I've edited the 13th stage instead of just quoting But as it was only a flat stage, I'll maybe skip it here. If anyone is interested in downloading the stage though, please let me know!

Stage 15: Zaragoza - Aso de Sobremonte
A tricky finish: 5,5km climb (8% in average). Sure, you won't lose the Vuelta here, but there's definitely a chance to attack and gap your opponents. The stage today is rather short (148km) and so the riders won't be too exhausted in this final climb, which could make things even more interesting! This hilly stage will be the first of crucial Pyrenees-stages!

Thanks, Pellizotti2! Glad you like it
Stage 16: Sabinanigo - El Pont de Suert
Short stage, but not so easy. 130kms, four medium-difficult climbs and most probably a perfect stage for a breakaway.. the GC-favourites will have a chance to attack, but it has to be a very strong attack though. The next two stages will be the stages the climbers will focus on, so we maybe won't see any huge efforts today. But still: definitely a tricky profile and the shortness of the stage will make things even more interesting.

Stage 17: El Pont de Suert - Pic del Maià (Andorra)
Pico del Teide (3rd stage), Bola del Mundo (11th) and now.. Pic del Maià ! The third mountain-stage with a summit finish will be a decisive one. Same as the Teide, today's final climb isn't that steep in average, but it's a long climb. The Vuelta will visit Andorra and the GC-favourites have to perform. Three rather difficult climbs and so a perfect stage for the battle of KoM, too. Tomorrow's stage won't be that tough (with a short summit finish only), so if there's a chance for a better climber to gain some time in GC, he has to take it.. now!

Spoiler Final climb..

Finish, last kilometer with gravel-road, Menchov wins!

Stage 18: La Massana (Andorra) - Montserrat
Another decisive stage and an unique finish-climb: Montserrat, in the near of Barcelona. It is well-known as the site of the Benedictine abbey, Santa Maria de Montserrat.. the climb is not that long, but two short sections with 13% slope will give the best climbers a chance to pull clear. It's the last uphill-finish in this year's Vuelta and so a great chance to gain some seconds before a 2nd flat timetrial in two days.

Sastre wins!

Stage 19: Sabadell - Sabadell
An interesting profile: 130km, quite short, but several climbs will split the pack. It's a perfect (and last) day for KoM-ambitions and therefore a good chance for a succesful breakaway, too.. but it's all up to the GC-situation though: if's there's only small gaps within the Top-10, we will see some desperate attacks today. There's definitely a small chance for creating a gap!
