Bah Hesjedal Especially as he got towed up most of the climb by a motorbike train
No he didn't. There was a reason we never got a camera shot of him. Those cameras were right behind Zaugg. He made up the gap himself. I do admit though the motorbikes might have given him slipstream in the last straight when he caught Zaugg.
As soon as I posted that I knew you'd leap to his defense
Although to be fair I was probably exaggerating a bit to emphasise my displeasure so I sort of agree with you.

Finally a good day for Garmin! Hesjedal wins and Dan the Man with a fantastic ride as well!
With a best of the rest ride rather, lol
Froome is such a freak, wtf is that. Contador using too much energy on attacking and following Valverde, seems like Froome's tactic is the way to go.
I don't expect any more. I know he can't touch those 5 guys. But having him finish 2-0 seconds ahead of even Uran is satisfying for me.
Nah, but that doesn't make it fantastic. This was clearly what I was expecting of Martin, especially at a steep gradient which seems to suit him better
I didn't expect him to gain 21 seconds on Uran. If you did, Chapeau.

I surely did expect Martin to out climb Urán on a climb like this. Whatever, you are just happy that Martin did well, but what he did wasn't fantastic by any means in my point of view, just a very solid ride which is to be expected if he wants to go into top-10 in GTs with a very mediocre TT.
Froome is the best example why I dislike power meters in racing. Maybe, we´re soon going to have 30 riders all starring at their stem and riding TTs up the mountains.

Yeah, there is nothing i dislike more in cycling right now then the power meters... with the obvious exception of doping
Well deserved win for him. I think it was him who motivated his breakaway companions to start giving strong pulls when OPQS were catching them quickly. He had some chat with others and break started to work much better shortly afterwards. He was always in the front when the group was splitting for a moment and he did some strong pulls.
Martin.
It's something, like 3rd selective stage in row in this race on which he gains time to all, but 5-8 riders. He is going to finish around 6th-7th place, which would be a nice thing to prove some doubters wrong that he can ride GTs for GC (maybe not for overall win, but for strong top10).
Also kudos to Nate Brown, who seems to climb better and better day by day in his first ever GT appearance.
Great battling from Froomey today and nice to see valverde off the pace too , but my Velogames team takes another battering with the withdrawal of Sagan

This might not be good for Froome though. Now everyone knows he is strong. So like 2012 Vuelta riders will just prefer to sit behind him and then out sprint him. Will expect him to close gaps if favourites attack. But that will all be changed if he manages to drop them all. Sadly for him there are no long 10 kms plus climbs which he prefers.
