Thanks. This stage might be the last chance for Rojas for a first stage win.
Challenge Ciclista a Mallorca - Stage 2
Cala Millor - Cala Millor
The Trofeo Cala Millor is a bit more difficult than the last stage. It`t almost twice as long and much more hilly. But still a high chance for a sprint finish with all sprinters. So Greipel will be the top favourite again.
Just 2 riders in the break. Downing (Sky) and Millar (Garmin). David will try to get some mountain points and maybe even a good stage result.
For some reason Xacobeo is doing a fast pace. Their only leader is Cesar Veloso, who is neither a sprinter for this stage nor a very good bet for the overall.
With 8km the two are back in the peloton and the sprint can start.
At least Millar collected most mountain points and will wear the jersey tomorrow.
Koldo Fernandez is the fastest today. He wins ahead of Ventoso and Greipel. Rojas finished 6th behind Hushovd and Hutarovich. Two top 10 results aren`t that bad with his form. He will be much better in some weeks for sure and at least in the Vuelta he will show his real strenght.

Agree with you. He still needs some more races and the starting field was quite strong, so could be worse.
Challenge Ciclista a Mallorca - Stage 3
Inca - Inca
The Trofeo Inca is the first hilly stage of the Mallorca Challenge but probably the easiest of the three. So we can`t expect bigger time gaps between the favourites here but msot sprinters should fall back. In 2011 the decision fall the overall felt here with a successful breakaway. Main goal today is to stay with Sanchez and Kessiakoff in this group.
Riccardo Vandervelde is our man in the break today. He deserved a chance as he is a loyal helper in most races and rarely gets his own freedoms.
Pires (Barbot), Arvesen (Sky), Pujol (Saxobank) and Antuña (Cafe) are the other riders.
HTC is doing the pace behind and so the gap never becomes very big. They don`t want to give them any chance.
On the way to the 2nd mountain sprint the group gets caught. Will there be attacks now or do the favourites save energy for the next 2 hard stages?
Astana is incredibly strong today and so Velits is leading the group over the mountain ahead of Contador and Schleck. Also Leopard with 4 riders in this group but surprisingly without Gerdemann and Porte but with Szmyd and Duque therefore. Also Kessiakoff (-5) had some big problems and felt back to their group. Luckily Millar is very strong today and supports Sanchez, who had no problems at all.
Just 23 riders did it over the top. Many good climbers are already missing, but all the big favourites are there of course.
Rodriguez (Katusha) tries it with a downhill attack. But against Astana and Leopard this is almiost impossible. It will come to a sprint and except of Duque, who must be quite exhausted, there aren`t any good sprinters there. So LL. Sanchez will try to sprint for a good result as he is quite a good "sprinter" for a climber.
And indeed he is able to take the stage. He had the perfect wheel behind Wiggins and oversprinted all riders on the final meters. Taaramae on 2 and A.Schleck on 3 also show a good form.
Unfortunately Millar felt back on the final kilometers and arrived together with Spilak 24s later.
Kessiakoff, Rojas and many good climbers finished 1'46 later. He now will support Sanchez as good as possible to defend the overall lead.

Great win! Defending the jersey against Astana and Leopard will be difficult, but you can do it

Good results with Rojas, and what a sprint from Sanchez, once again gc overall is in his sight, shame about Kessiakoff daily form, sometimes I hate the random form, but as well it brings happiness too. Great result

Thanks.
@ lluuiiggii
It will indeed be very hard but I won the next two stages last year and hope to get similar results again. But it will be the first "harder" stage against top riders on extreme, so we will see.
@ alakagon
Actually I really like the daily form as you will have surprises. It`s more realistic I think.
The Tour Méditerranéen Cycliste Professionnel is a 5 day stage race held in France. For many riders it`s the first appearance in the season and also a quite hard one as 3 stages are very hilly.
It`s held since 1974 with record winner Gerrie Knetemann (NED) with 3 wins.

Fuglsang and Vansummeren will lead our team in this race. Also Stetina could do well on the final stage.
Hunter and Dao, who improved once more, will be our sprinters.

In general the start field is quite weak, as the best riders seems to be on Mallorca or later in Oman. In the sprints Cavendish is by far the best, then Hunter is already following.
For the overall Nicholas Roche will be the man to beat. That`s primarily the work for Fuglsang as also this ranking will be without big names.
Favourites
*** Roche
** Fuglsang , Albasini
* Da Costa, Sicard, Bertogliati

Tour Méditerranéen Cycliste Professionnel - Stage 1
La Crau - Hyeres
The first stage is short and totally flat. The mountain sprint is a joke actually.
Our main sprinter will be Hunter, but Dao canride on his own for his first top 10 result. Fischer will primarily be their lead out.
Just Vrijmoed (Rabo CT) and Bowden (TT1) form the break of the day. Good situation for the teams in the peloton.
So a lot of dfferent teams sharing the work and the gap never becomes very big.
Everything runs perfect for Garmin. Our sprint train with 5 riders is coming to the front. Löw, Vansummeren, Fischer, Hunter, Dao.
So both of our sprinters will have a perfect position.
As Cavendish didn`t even started the sprint, it was quite easy for Hunter to take his first win in his first race. Now he already has as many wins than in 2010 and 2011
Caethoven and Da Dalto are following and directly ahead of Baris Dao. The young Dane did a great 4th. Hopefully he can continue his great development. Fischer on 8 completes a perfect result.
We were wondering that the peloton was splitted on the final 5km. We haven`t recognized it. Then the news arrived us: Fario Da Costa (Movistar) crashed and many riders with him. HTC leader Albasini did crash as also Dupont, Camano, Danielson, Lhotellerie and Nocentini. All of them lost more than 2min and won`t have a chance to win this tour probably. Especially HTC with both leaders had very bad luck.
Then we recognized. One rider didn`t finish the race and of course it must have been a Garmin rider. Jakob Fuglsang, one of the big favourites, broke his hand and will miss until start of March. He will also miss the GP Lugano and the Montepaschi Eroica, where Christian Meier will take his slot.
Hopefully he is fit in Tirreno Adriatico to start his season again.

Too bad you lost your leader, that was really bad luck. :/ In other hand, Hunter won the stage.

Bad luck with Fuglsang, but a win with Hunter, 4th with Dao and 8th with Fischer is something positive at least.

Thanks all.
Fuglsang is really a shame, but I ordered a doc and so he will be fir in the end of February. So he won`t miss many races and in Tirreno he was just co leader behind Hesjedal.
Now Vansummeren and Stetina have to show some good performance.
Challenge Ciclista a Mallorca - Stage 4
Bunyola - Bunyola
As last year we will ride the most ugliest stage ever. As I can`t play the original stage 4 I build it on my own but never finished it So no sea, no fields or cities, just nothing but the roads.
With a long climb it could come to a split again. But different to yesterdays stage there is another short climb a after the long descent. Last year Sanchez attacked there and won the stage. This time he is already in the yellow jersey and just need to react.
Rodriguez attacked directly on the first little climb and goes solo as no one can or wants to join him. He is just 20s behind Sanchez and a big danger.
Just Rabobank`s Freire tried to follow, but without big success. He was for a long time between both groups.
Good for us that Astana and Leopard are very strong. So these two teams make a hard pace and the advance is always around 3min.
Our Garmin riders, that expected to work today, can relax in the peloton.
The climb starts and immediately a lot of splits in the peloton. Sanchez, Kessiakoff, Millar and Rojas are able to stay in the first group.
Some riders were surprised by this acceleration and so F.Schleck and Velits felt back. Bad news for Contador but with Vinokourov, Knees and Fofonov he has still nice helpers supporting him.
Freire is already back in the field but Rodriguez is still trying everything.
But on the climb to the highest point he is also caught. But he can stay in the group until the descent.
Just around 20 riders in the group. Millar and Rojas felt back unfortunately.
To avoid attacks and to react better, Sanchez rode to the front and showed that he wants to win here.
Many riders tried to attack but Contador was the first with a successful one. Immediately Sanchez follows and thanks to a nice +5 he is able to.
These two were able to create a small gap and will fight for the stage win and especially for the bonus seconds. Normally Sanchez should be the better sprinter but you never know after that many hills.
But Sanchez celebrates again and increases his advance.
The group follows with 12s. So just one more hard stage and Sanchez could be the winner of the Mallorca Challenge.
Hopefully he can save this form until Paris Nice to repeat his win.

Great win! Watching LL Sanchez winning against Contador (like in Vuelta) becomes more and more fun with every win

Good results with Rojas, and what a sprint from Sanchez, once again gc overall is in his sight, shame about Kessiakoff daily form, sometimes I hate the random form, but as well it brings happiness too. Great result

Thanks a lot.
@ tsmoha indeed, like to beat Contador a lot, since I decided not to ban him in the savegame
@ lluuiiggii Hope for another win on the final stage as last year. But the hardest months are from April to July as the AI starts to have a perfect shape.
