In the paper Le Mével describes himself as a road captain for Coppel and Taaramae, not as a leader. That makes sense, as he's not getting any younger (he'll be 32 next season). |

How can Cofidis have all that money all of a sudden?
Cofidis sponsors the team for 9 million a year. That is double as much as Belgian sponsors like Lotto or Omega Pharma give to a team so it's no surprise to see that they can spend this much money.

You spot on about Cofidis, but OPQS has for 2012 around the same budget as Sky, around 10-11 million.
Here's a nice little table from 2011 :
From 2011 table there are two teams that increased their budgets for 2012 highest. One is BMC wchich now has the highest budget in cycling for 2012. Second is Astana who has about 15 million.
To point out is that Rabobank also sponosrs from those money their women team and their 'youth' team. Their men squad still receives around same as Sky I would guess.

Great signing for Sky. Another climber added to the squad that's already full of them

Sky this year already Manx, not only after the latest signing.

Sad for Cav. I don't know what team would be perfect for him. All of them are full of climbers or sprinters. |

OPQS ?
He would be No.1 sprinter. He would also get the lead-out 'ala' HTC.
Adding to the fact many HTC staff went to OPQS, it would be perfect link up again.

Would actually like to see Cav at Rabobank.
I think Renshaw is still there and Matthews left.
So with Cav-Renshaw-Brown they would have solid sprinters.

Yeah, but with that, Renshaw would again won't be the sprint leader. |

There are Ciolek and Chicchi plus Boonen. 3 sprinters and the only lead-out rider is steegmans. |

So what ? Cav is clearly faster than all 3 of them. Chicchi and Ciolek could be good lead-outs for Cav.
Add to this engines like Grabsch or Martin and you got yourself a very nice train.

What's up with all the PCM-style transfers this year? Why the hell would Kiryienka go to Sky? He is super aggressive in the mountains and Sky are super not.
