Sagan went too early and was punished for it. Great attack from Kwiatek!

Valverde and Cunego rode the climb faster than Kwiatkowski, actually.
I don't want to call Sagan stupid, but....yeah, attacking Kwiatkowski on a climb like that was extremely stupid.

If Kwiatkowski isn't peaking too early he'll be right up there at LBL

Looks like Kwiatkowski will be the man to beat in the ardennes. I have to wonder though, is he strong enough this year to compete among the best in Flanders aswell? He wasn't half bad last year. |

Kwiat might be too early in top shape to be a factory in the ardennes.
Right now he is so super strong, it's hard to imagine he can keep that form for so long. |

I don't see why that is a logical conclusion,. it is way too early to be peaking for the Ardennes and most of the favorites for them weren't here.

Mainly because he had good results there last year, and seems even stronger this year. Not because of winning this race in particular. Also there's no way to know if he is on schedule or not to peak in the ardennes, time will tell. But I am convinced he is stronger and better prepared this year. |

Coming from you, of course he won't win LBL...
I didn't think Sagan was necessarily trying to 'attack' but rather just to raise the pace a bit in case Kwiatek attacks him. Nonetheless he wouldn't have won anyways

It's nice to see Kwiatkowski and Sagan fighting with each other in a similar way like how they did in juniors.

I can't be convinced of anything this early. I do know however that people who start their season by destroying everyone as early as february usually don't shine in april.
It's not a certainty ofcourse, but it's definately a well known pattern |

This is the same Kwiatek who had great form for Flandes, Ardennes and then again come July... wouldn't count him out of the hilly classics this early. But neither would i say he is now a big favorite for them, more of a serious outsider

yeah, Moser won this race last season, and it didn't exactly propel him forward

Moser was shite all last year, no point comparing the two.
Gilbert won in 2011, don't think he had much problem with Ardennes then.

that top 10 of Strade Bianchi could've easily be the top 10 of any big WT classic.. lol
probably much better top 10 than Canadian races, Plouay and Vattenfall haha |

Strade Bianche really needs to be moved up from a .1 race, I don't know if there's some sort of issue that is keeping it as a .1 but it's one of the best classics of the year imo
EDIT: What Ruben said

Strade should be WT
Was one of the most exciting races I've seen in a long time. Great racing.
