Built it around Kreuziger, who will be better with age, If we can say that more experience is better for you psychical endurance, because that is stopping him from better results.
Or more likely buy another upcoming superstar.

Interesting is that Vacansoleil is up so high, I guess it pays to be in the breakaway every day. |

Vacansoleil apparently got a lot of money by winning the team classification twice and end up high in intermediate sprints

It was quite obvious Vacansoleil is chasing money when Flecha got second in that intermediate sprint en route to Albi.

I would say he would buy a big name as I doubt Kreuziger will develop into a genuine GT contender, possibly a podium in a weaker GT. in saying that he has looked good this week

Prize money all riders earned by stage wins, intermediate sprints. The team also win some money for team classification. Vacansoleil made so much money thanks to the intermediate sprints and team classifications

I'm giving him two more years at the top at most, because he's just like Contador: burst out on the cycling scene at 20 and fade around 30. I'm not sure the effort of building a team around him is worth it, considering who's gonna be contesting GTs in the next 2 years. And besides, he only beat a bunch of nobodies for his best result in a GT, that 6th place in the 2011 Giro.
Roll on the hilly classics!

As a junior rider, he crashed hard on a descent and he said it's hard to overcome that fear of crashing again.

I read about that, my question is why was he able to overcome that fear last Year during the Tour but suddenly this Year he wets his pants on every single descent. I dont know if he crashed this Year during training or a race, that would explain why he is having this Year so much problems, but i cant find any info about such a thing. |

Jeanesson crashed ahead of him in Pais Vasco or Catalunya this year, and Pinot wet his pants there (not literally - not that I know at least).
That's where the fear came back, if I understood correctly. |

Exert taken from Inrng on the subject:
"Pinot’s problems apparently stem from a crash as a junior when he broke both arms. He told L’Equipe he’s got a phobia of speed just like others are scared of snakes or spiders. The fear surfaces from time to time, a crash of team mate Arnold Jeannesson in the Tour of the Basque Country almost took out Pinot and this seems to have set off the mental crisis again. Pinot can recover, indeed the story goes that as a junior he was back on his bike rode down a flight of stairs with two arms in plaster." |

Well, off all things this is something I don't hold against a rider. Descending on WT level can be quite dangerous and I understand some people don't want to risk it. They'll suffer the consequences (career-wise), but at least they're staying alive. |
