Interesting tweet from Jonathan Vaughters
@Vaughters Jonathan Vaughters
Time cut calculation on this stage is ridiculous. It's using estimated averages from the 90's. When top guys go slower ASO lowers% for cut.
I think what he's saying is that now there is a much stricter drug control more riders are not going to be able to make these times. They need to look at the calculations again.

Not even sure if it was bad luck for him after all.
well, it was something that disrupted him, and was totally out of his control. that's what I had in mind.
If offense is the best defence, does it mean that defence is the worst defence?

To add to the time limit debate, I think we should give Waghlon half the distance and anyone who finishes behind him is out. |

Off-topic (somehow):
Q: How do your know that you are playing to much PCM?
A: If you try to zoom in with your mouse while watching the live broadcast.
(I watch on my computer using DVB-T and while the chopper flew over the dam I tried to scroll in).

Nice one. I am also watching on my computer. But this has never happened to me. |

guys, I think it's fine the time limit is waved today, 15 seconds is nothing.
But still it's 15 seconds, if you're late for a train for 15 seconds, it won't wait for you. |

true. But it's not if 20% of the peloton is outside. To be reinstated you need to be shown to have put effort to make the time limit.
15 seconds outside shows that i'd say,

Of course. It is correct to assume they aren't cycling fans.

It's true. The dutch on the alpe are drunk.
Real dutch cycling fans are passionate but would not boo somebody, no "real" cycling fans would.

Dude, we know people like that, they only go to events to party.
They don't know any riders except Contador, Schleck and Gesink maybe, many of them don't know even them.
They just follow Tour de France, no cycling fans. done.
Its same as football fans during world championships from holland. They are chauvinists who usually dont follow football much

Awesome performance by Contador, you can say much about that man but nobody can say that he doesn't have passion for this sport!
I wonder if Andy will regret tomorrow that he didn't help the Spaniard more, since I believe he will suffer a lot on the timetrial compared to a Cadel Evans who has never looked stronger!
Those French riders are pissing me off, I didn't like the way Rolland raced today... Not helping his Captain in crisis and then letting Sammy doing all the work to catch Contador and then leaving both of them right before the finish! At least did Sanchez end up in polka dots, but what a stage noneless... the tour has really been amazing for the last couple of days!

It would have been more ridiculous for Rolland to throw away his young rider jersey hopes for Voeckler

Rolland was a good move from Europcar, but why have Voeckler chasing Schleck/Contador, mostly on his own, the half Galibier, and the half descent or so too? That was just awful tactic, and I don't get why Voeckler didn't drop back. If he would have, he would probably been able to keep up with Evans/Schleck on Alpe d'Huez, at least he would have been the favourite for the last podium spot. He did actually not loose much to Evans/Schleck on the last 8-9 kms of Alpe d'Huez.

Sanchez rode like a noob.
Contador deserved the win but Samu destroyed his opportunity.
What a friend
Awesome punch lol:
