Also, apparently Yates actually is in yellow now because Alaphilippe gets a 20 second time penalty.
€: From what I understand on twitter, it's because he took a bidon within 17kms from the finish.

Frenchies punishing Frenchies? What is this madness?
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Great positioning work from Sunweb. Cees Bol a decent surprise actually, so far leaving Matthews out hasn’t backfired. |

Doesn't hurt that he got one of the cleanest leadout trains I've seen in the past decade since HTC died. 6 guys pulling and then dropping off in a line, maintaining the front the entire time. Looked like something I'd do in an old PCM.

I would actually be a bit disappointed in Bol after what I agree is the best leadout I've seen in years. The guy obviously has power - look at his Nokere win last year - but he shouldn't lose from that position. .

Hmm yeah maybe. Didn’t know much about Bol actually, knew he had some decent results so showing up with three top-10s on three sprint stages is somehow a surprise result. But you can either say he was only beaten by the world’s best cyclist or that Sunweb dragged van Aert til the end on a comfortable position, I’d understand both. |

Somehow I imagine van Aert dropping back to the team car with 3K to go, asking if it's ok if he wins another stage.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Sagan or whoever ends up with green this year should thank Roglic and Dumoulin.

Nice stage. Hopefully today incites Pogacar and Landa to ride aggressively in the next stages.

WVA is amazing, what if he ends up winning green inadvertently?
Pogi and Landa on the attack now! |

Wow, he's third despite only competing in two stages and not caring for the intermediate sprints

Richie Porte has to always mess something and again lose some time in advance. I am curious how Roglic and Dumoulin leadership will develop.
Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.

I mean, I don't want to say it's always the same with him, but it is always the same with him. What a shame, such a huge talent, but he just can't hold it together over 3 weeks.

Welp, so much for Pinot. No idea how a guy who can climb so well sometimes can be this bad at other times. And only on day 8 this time.
