Decent by the team, I think. Guldhammer inside the top 10 after the first 8 stages is above expectations, highlighting how important that stage win was. Looking forward to the coming three stages, as they will surely shake the GC. Hopefully both hilly stages are raced aggressively, which should see Guldhammer profit, and then it's all about surviving in the best possible way on the first mountain top finish.
Demare has to be the main favourite for the next stage though, but hopefully Guldhammer can challenge for a podium, bonus seconds and hopefully a gap to other GC contenders.
And wow, disaster for Alarcon and Hugo Boss. Not the way you want to see an overall contender drop out. Just annoying that the AI can't handle it when the leader isn't part of the five best TT riders in TTTs. Though, that's how it has always been, so the risk was always there, but I still feel sorry for dev. |

Very good job by the team to nurture a 68TT rider home in such a long TTT. Bongiorno sits very well now, although gaps are obviously still small.
Disaster for Alarcon, but sadly somewhat predictable by now with that lineup.  It's just not worth the risk when the cutoff point is 5tt above your GC hope.
Let's find out how much mo is in that ratio tomorrow! The break needs to be small, and the first two climbs ridden not too fast.

Its still hilarious to me (but kind) that almost every reporter gives a screenshot to every participating TTT team even if it has no GC or TTT ambitions whatsoever like Evonik here. Thanks for the reports!

Well....... It wasn't bad. It was pathetic. I would hope for better for sure, this fucks up Lecuisinier quite a bit. I can only hope that he will be very aggressive now.

I use to do it this way to present the team for the whole GT mainly.
Not doing it as detailled in smaller races. |

Pretty strong performance in a TTT, that we entered in an outsider's role only! Morton obviously suffering in the end, but fortunately to a point, where he could not be dropped anymore (as it was planned, of course). A nice advantage on some other climbers and now he has to benefit from this. He simply has to fight for at least the Top-5 here, as things stand now. Not sure if he's too much Morton to even fight for the podium though. Maybe he turns into a less mortonesque rider and remembers what he did here one year ago? One may dream..

Great stage roturn, thank you! I'm glad we won since I sent a squad heavily targeting the TTT, but it would have been nice to gain more time over a 60 km course. With Schleck and Amador basically tied at this point, I think Schleck is emerging as the favorite. Amador has set himself up nicely for a podium at the end though.
Looks like the shitty TTT AI strikes again for Alarcon, what a disaster.

 Thanks guys, hopefully we can fight for more stage wins and still play a part in the GC-stages, although GC-success now looks tough.
Congratz to Amador and UBS, will be interesting to follow to see what he can do as one of the favourites here.
Still excited for the rest of the race though and cant be too sad either, as I've had my share of good fortune aswell!

What a way to ressurect a horrible performance in the TTT! Second stagewin here is great really! Also some free points awarded from Le Roux in the break! Must be a great feeling for Knockout to see such a strong climber already having such a lead in the KOM!
Both Vasyliv and Chamorro fairly attentive also avoiding any disastrous loss of time.
I really hope Lecuisinier can stay active. 8th might still be possible in the GC, while better than that will be very difficult after that TTT.

Absolutely! He looks like a good bet to wear it all race long. My GT strategy this season relied on getting good KoM riders inti the break and having Vosekalns in this position so early is magnificent

Disappointing, as that should settle it in favor of the climbers. Oh well, can't always work. I probably won't find any allies in a fight to shift the system towards sprinters. A couple more stage wins are still up for grabs along the way.
Tomorrow might already be the last day in the jersey, so I'll have to cheer for Dombo and Amador over Schleck and Lecuisinier.
The latter with a great stage win, congrats SotD!

Nice to see Hirt being strong and bouncing back from the TTT with a podium place and moving up in the GC almost right into the top 10. Congrats to our friends from Festina, slowly getting their year back together after all. 
Also pretty pleased to see Vysna doing quietly well with a mid-20 GC result. Should be a big helper in big mountains for Hirt.

Festina on the up once again, congrats SotD. Teach me that whip-effect of your comments on your team, please!  Morton works completely opposite. The more TS talks about him the less he performs. Incredible how regular he is in that regard.
But enough of these little hills. Tomorrow comes the first proper mountain stage. Hyped!

Can only laugh at how bad we were in the TTT. Not that Im surprised just that it was comical. Choi not terrible on stage 9 but I think we might have to hunt stages at this point.

Really sucks that we lost Haugard so early, he could have been important in that TTT now it did not went as well as hoped.

Good day! Nice to see our two Swedes in the break and Olsson moving up to 3rd in the KoM. Stake Laengen and Iturria also performing at their expected level, so all good from both of them so far.
