Well it's not really activity if it doesn't contribute to the game. People find it suspicious that there are many posts that are distracting from the game and lynch votes are never really a good sign - even Waghlon was serious when he made them! (and he really was mafia )
I mean if you guys aren't mafia, you've distracted us from some actual suspicious posts going on, like as Knockout mentioned, Ryant's (and too a much lesser extent imo, BBL's). Which I totally forgot about when a whole page of gifs came in. So people find it that you are hindering the town - and likely mafia.
Obviously we've got to take into account that you're first time players but it only takes reading one previous game to work out that inactive guys are suspect.
Still, I propose the Inves/CC should take a look at these guys (in no particular order, except BBL is probably low priority).
Hillis
TMM
Ryant
(BBL)
I'd like to get some thoughts on this post though.
Well, i went after Ryant early and got no support.
Feel free to investigate me then, im a townie

@Trek
I don't want to quote all that but I have no problem with starting discussions early and trying to figure out who is mafia and who is town but I don't think randomly lynching is a good idea unless someone has done something suspicious.
I find the killing of wagon interesting as he could have Ben a distraction and someone who could be mistaken for mafia judging by how well he played the previous game, that said getting rid of guys who know what they are doing and who could catch put mafia members even if they don't have a special role is probably what the mafia is going to try and do, which makes me think you and knockout would be at risk considering how well you have both played this in the past and makes me worry that my 2 posts so far showing my thinking could make me a target aswell.
That said if ryant confirmed himself as just a useless townie so early that does make it suspicious that he wasn't instantly killed and he could be a future lead or left alive as a distraction to waste the towns time. Has he posted since? Would look more strange if he then doesn't get involved in the discussions.

Hillis does seem very lynch happy which makes me believe he is likely mafia, surely a townie would want to lynch nobody right now as there is a chance the mafia take out the detective early in the nightly kills, I don't think it is wise for the town to randomly lynch this early as the detective wouldn't even have had time to make sure he is not the confused cop yet so if the town accidentally go to lynch him this early through a random guess it would be very bad for them as he would likely have to reveal himself to save himself and make him a massive target for the mafia.
I definitely think hillis needs investigating but don't want to randomly lynch anyone this early.
I'm generally following Knockout's advice which is to lynch early because it leads to player's having to defend themselves and ideas of who's willing to jump on the bandwagon as well as possibly outing a mafia or potential distraction in a suspicious player.
Also, many inactive players or possible more cunning players who have just posted very briefly once or twice to look out for as potential mafia.
This. There are four main ways to get an idea who could be part of the mafia:
1. the detective: It can be very useful but you will need some time until you know whether you are confused cop or detective. Especially when you will only get to see town members night-killed. Just ask marcovdw about this
2. bandwaggons: Analyzing who voted to lynch someone. If someone looks to be overly eager to lynch just anybody by simply jumping on bandwaggons chances are higher that he might be mafia.
3. argumentation: Pressure someone and see if his replies / actions make sense. If someone says A but does B he better has a good reason for it
4. night kill analysis: Analyse why someone might have been killed in the night. Only possible if there is enough material in the thread to base it on. (dangerous because it often leads to "mafia thinks that town thinks that mafia thinks etc" )
If we simply no-lynch every day at the beginning we rely on the detective (who may be night-killed by then) to get a mafia read. Which will be even more difficult as the godfather wouldnt show up.
By arguing to lynch someone early we get much more factors to analyze and give the detective a good read who might be worth to investigate. So imo, arguing to lynch early is a must. It's not bad if that leads to "lynch nobody" on the first day if who ever gets pressured looks less mafia-like after the discussion but at least it gives us something to work with for future days.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Agree with the non-quoted part, disagree with this one. Why would the mafia kill somebody that has "stated his point" in a vague way that makes him more suspicious than saving himself. He was one of the first guys to take attention, and thus one to be in the general "lynchcrowd" pretty early. There'll always be a strange feeling on ryant due to this post, and I think the mafia used that very well.
But surely we get more information on that soon, if we can acquire investigative news flawing into this.
@TMM: No need to keep out of the discussions. Statements like these look very weak to me. You surely know how games like these works, and for me you play a role right now. Whether this might be a good one or bad one - who knows? But contributing to the discussion is always a better way to state your point as a townie than silence. Even if you do it by horrendous gifs.

It would be an easy mafia kill that doesn't draw suspicion on why that person was killed as they put themselves on he mafia's chopping block, as opposed to someone who was only suspicious and that the town could gain insight on he mafia's thinking from. That's why I would have gone straight for ryant if I was mafia as the longer they can make obvious kills that won't draw suspicion the harder it would be to find them.
Anyway I need to go back to work now so won't be able to comment further until I finish.

Lynch nobody
hillis like many others is on my watch list of suspected mafia. But I also agree with the posts about people defending themselves this early with no reasonable cause to do so.

My knowledge of the game only comes from reading the intro/explain post at the start of the thread
At least i a) defended myself when called upon (unlike others) and b) tried to justify my lynch suggestion (unlike others)
Fully expecting a detective or confused cop to come searching my bins overnight. I got nothing to hide, i just love this town and want the mafia out.

Don't get why im on a suspected mafia list. Also don't get why everybody else is on their high horse having to be convinced about others. Great tactic tho. Chappeu

Hills and TMM have been acting really weird at the moment. You can say that both are "first-timers" in the game, but still....
Right now, I have the theory that they are talking together, so either both are mafia or they are the Masons. Yeah, I know that both are voted for each other at some point, but that can part of their covers
I don't really know what to think about Ryant's post.
BBL's post seems ok to me. Last season he was lynched because "nobody" believed him when trek framed him, and he is stating that to avoid that happening again.
And I agree with those who say that killing Waghlon is not the smartest move by mafia. He is always suspicious enough to distract actual mafia members.
All of this to say that Lynch nobody I think i'll wait to something else to happen to cast any vote

Simply stating facts that I am a town member. It would be smart for the mafia to keep me alive but it seems that hillis is so determined to lynch me for no reason except for the fact I am a town member. Does really strike me as odd and makes me believe he is mafia. lynch no one for now as I expect a detective to investigate him and find him as the mafia.

But if he the godfather and the detective investigates him we would get a false reading...

Interesting that the Mafia (most likely) lynches a guy that hasn't been active in the discussion. Seems like they are happy with the direction our discussion is turning. Not a good sign in my eyes. Takes a little bit of pressure of ryant, hillis and TMM though.
All that only assuming the Mafia thought in the direction I think right now, could also be the case that they just killed randomly - or I didn't get the plan yet - or it was a big move of good and bad night roles...
