Too bad Lecuisinier couldn't get a gap there, but strong from Gougeard to take provisional KOM.
I hope Morton isnt injured. We need to keep things tense :-)

Very solid ride from my La Lavandier, keeping him in contention and possibly able to do something in the mountains.

Unlucky Holst Enger, and the team is down to three. At least all of them did well on that stage, finishing in the top 25. Now the coming flat stage is all about getting safe through it.
Congratulations to Bank of Ireland, good to see a pre-stage favourite like McCarthy take the win. Very handy gap for Olivier as well, which underlines his overall ambitions.
Thanks for the reports so far, SN! |

Ouch, Morton on the ground. Not very sportmanship to attack right away Le Lavandier

Third stage and third favourite winning, happy to see that, all of them showing the potential to be the key riders in the upcoming years. Congrats Dippo!
Form Metinvest point of view, it was a good stage, especially Zmorka fought like a lion to hold there and maintain 2nd overall. Also Grosu and Tanovitchii in the front group, that is cool.
Thanks for the report SN!

Ewan clearly lacking some of the strength others have. He's doing well though, can't complain at all.
And another stage that went properly! It's so nice compared to last year and i bet those winners are damn happy as well

This was a nice sprint with 3 very equal trains next to each other.
While Edmondson somehow looked the best final leadout, Groenewegen lacked the strength to beat Zabel, which is just fair.
2nd is what Groenewegen should finish even though on a good day beating Zabel would be nice. |

Sending Zabel to a race like this is just straight up cheating.

Cerny keeps amazing me, too bad his normal season has been a bit mediocre so far.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

It's a shame there wasn't a gap on stage 3 as Kung had made that first group and it would have been nice to see that rewarded with a jump up GC, hopefully he can still feature prominently later on in the race as that's shown he isn't in bad form.

I like that even with the weaker teams across the board, the breaks are still being caught. Thanks for these reports SN, I'm enjoying the race so far.
Zabel winning is no huge surprise, and I sort of like seeing some of these guys who probably won't do too much in their careers filling out the top ten.

Nice win for Zabel! Interesting to see Lee finish in the top 15 today as he's probably one of the worst riders in the race. Actually been somewhat consistent faith some other ok results too.

Everyone seems to be on their feet before the first mountainstage, which is nice.
Now fingers are crossed that our team can perform when it counts. The setup is there for sure, but Morton (especially) and a few others could definately make this difficult.
Bring it on

Zabel playing his muscles, but good stuff from Grönemeyer and especially Afewerki! That's probably the maximum he could have achieved here.
