The reports seem to be stronger that Landa will sign for Sky 2016 and 2017, using the USP template of hiring the best spanish climbers. I really loved Landa in the Giro, both for his climbing and his personality, so this makes me kinda sad - not necessarily because its Sky, more so his dom-role in TdF. Hopefully he will be given opportunity to either ride Giro or Vuelta as a captain..
Well if Porte is leaving, he'll take his position which means he will end up being leader at either the Giro or Vuelta and just a dom in the Tour, Unlike Porte Landa I'd say has the confidence to be a leader but needs to improve his crappy TT though. |

I think Landa is slightly overhyped, he was impressive at the Giro but if he did go to Sky he should be co-leader at the Giro with Konig and not sole leader unless the Giro goes all in and design a route purely for Aru and have basically no TT k's, then maybe Landa could be sole leader

Why you think Sky will give König any go-leader status? They promised him something like that? Beside Landa can beat him at any mountain. |

At this stage I rate Konig a better GT rider than Landa, yes Landa had a great Giro but we will see if he can back this up again. I hope he can as he looked exciting climbing at the Giro but I also think Konig has done enough to earn a shot at GT leadership of the route suits of course

With the way GTs are being designed, I would say Landa by far is the better GC-rider |

I've heard from commentators at TdF, that Cavendish will go to Qhubeka, Barguil & Kittel to Etixx & Porte to Orica. Any news about this? |

Cavendish to Qhubeka. didn't hear anything about it yet so assume it false
Léfevre said that Barquil could sign immediatly with Etixx and he said that he wanted to sign Kittel to make his team the poster team for German Cycling (why his team would be better as representation than the actual german team ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)
Porte is all pretty much conformed to go to BMC

I would be big blow to Giant team..they have builded team slowly but steady..Kittel had many possibilities to leave before, But he decided to stay..and had also reason. Giant have controlled nicely 2013/ 2014 sprint finishes. |

Are any of these transfer rumours strong? Or is this just the typical crazy Tour de France rumours?
Cavendish to MTN, well he would have a nice team of second-rate sprinters there to operate his train.
Barguil to Eixx that's kind of moving sideways for him, because as a team they're not very impressive in the big tours for GC contenders, as Uran is normally badly supported in relation to his rivals.
I can't believe that Giant would let Kittel go, but if he did they'd just solely focus on Degenkolb in the classics and points competitions. |

Initially it seems kind of at odds with earlier reports Mark Cavendish was willing to take a paycut to stay at Etixx - Quick-Step. However, maybe Omega Pharma don't have faith in Cavendish and are willing to stump up some big dosh to tear Marcel Kittel out of Giant - Alpecin's grip.
Considering Patrick Lefevere's opinion on Grand Tour riders the Warren Barguil stories seem a bit at odds with that but eh could again be a sponsor-led thing with Omega Pharma stumping up le cash.

Not readd whole forum so sorry if it's been mentioned but Team Sky and Kwiatkowski that he will join Sky. With Wiggo gone god knows who else they bring in. Also Landa Sky were eyeing up I think. But I recon they should go for Dan Martin. Pure class... |

Well his cycling style is not pretty to watch and he has a nasty habit of timing his attacks too late and spends a lot of time falling off his bike, apart from that he's pretty good. |

C'mon Etixx. Sign Dege or Kittel, Barguil, maybe Landa(Tony can teach him how to TT) And please keep Cav. He worked off his ass for his teammates this TdF.

How many climbers can they actually have on one team? I want to know. I want to know how the hell they can actually have this many climbers. Is it actually possible? Then the question is why???

I would have thought that the Izagirre brothers would stay with Movistar. Those two would stay on the same team together I dare say; sign one, sign both. But Gorka especially has had lead roles this year, and done reasonably well. 8th at TDU and 9th Paris-Nice seem like good results for him. Jon hasn't had as good of a year this year compared to last, but they'd get a decent packet at Movistar money wise. I think they'll re-sign in all honesty.
Intxausti has had a reasonable year, too. Although he's been at Movistar for a few years now. I could see him wanting a change of scenery.
When you can't decide between two options, flip a coin. Not because the result of the coin will choose for you, but because, in that split second before the coin lands, you'll know what side you want it to fall on.

Mikel Landa has signed for 2 years with team sky though it won't be official until August 1, I just can't believe it team sky is going to be unstoppable now.
