 TOUR DE SAN LUIS
Hello all! Today is a historic day in the cycling history. People will remember this day because today starts The Superleague by Oleg Tinkov.
Argentina will live the opening race of the season: the Tour de San Luis. 4 stages will decide the first leader in the Superleague.
Today, the first stage. A flat route stage.
The beginning was really slow. The best sprinters went to the head of the group, like Sagan (of Active Tinkoff), Elia Viviani (of Bauknecht Bora) or Ewan and Goss (of Qantas).
After 40 km rode, Fabian Cancellara (of Château d´Ax) attacked.
He opened a big gap, until 8 minutes with 60 km to go. But the peloton started pushing. Active Tinkoff put Dabkowski, Ezquerra and Mickiewicz to push and Qantas put Flakemore and Bennett to push too.
With 20 km the gap was only 1 minute, but Cancellara seemed really strong, and the peloton caught him in the last kilometer.
When Cancellara was caught there was only 900 metres to go. Oceania Qantas Team was at the head of the pack. Dennis was at the front. Behind him, Rogers and Ewan were really fast too. Sagan was behind Ewan and behind the Slovakian, Matthews, Duque and Visconti were there in the firsts positions.
With 500 metres, Dennis was out of the train and it was time to Rogers. With 250 metres, Sagan ran to the win! Inmediately, Matthews and Ewan went behind him. Finally, Peter Sagan (Active Tinkoff) was the fastest boy in the stage. Ewan (Qantas) and Matthews (Château d´Ax) completed the podium of the stage.
All the favourites for the race finished in the first group so there weren´t any differences between them, as well in the Leaders Classification of the Superleague.

Good to see you continuing with this story, but it looks like Rohan Dennis is in both team Apple and Qantas. If you want a replacement suggestion, maybe Brent Bookwalter or Peter Stetina (BMC, American) or even Andrew Talansky or Chris Horner (American) could join Tejay's Apple team?
