Schachmann crashed in 2nd corner today. Still finishing as 5th and probably could have got bronze otherwise.
Bad luck. |

What a performance by Rafael Reis Wasn't expecting that performance by him, amazing.
So sad for Mullen. |

Real shame for Mullen, but he is barely 20. Still has 2 years to go before he would even be ineligible for U23.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

Lennard Kämna, or as I call him "the better Silvio Herklotz", takes the Juniors title very comfortably with 45 seconds advantage over Adrien Costa and a minute on Michael Storer.

I wonder which year the Germans started to colour their hair. Peroxide blonde looks so bad, but still better than the red they used in 2011. |

He just turned 18 two weeks ago so I think another amateur year couldn't hurt him either. If though, yeah Stölting seems a good spot.
His average speed would've been enough for 5th place in the U23 if he held that for the 7 additional kilometres.

Bad luck, bad luck everywhere for Netherlands...
Today Ellen Van Dijk had to fight against a pouring rain in the finish, therefore he got a disappointing 7th place:
And the other race:

Disappointing rides for Villumsen and Blaak. Canuel was great and Kroeger was massively impressive! Brennauer brining medal number 2 to Specialzed

Lisa Brennauer and Hanna Solovey- permission to say 'who they?'
Great job by Evelyn Hughes to get bronze,

She was failing before the rain, but she lost another 20sec becouse of it. |

Yeah, I know that, I was referring to the fact that he lost 20-25 seconds because of the rain, therefore she could have fought for the podium.

Adrien Costa.....Looked like Chris Anker on a bike, wasn't pretty at all. This guy is like 0 % aerodynamic, gotta have been raw power that made him come 2nd. Surprising.

Nice 8th place from O'Loughlin, he came here looking for a top 20, him and Mullen getting Irelands championships off to a great start

Whoever manages the UCI channel on Youtube for all countries without TV coverage, he's an idiot. Selecting a thumbnail of the podium or even the winner for the full replays and adding the name of the winner to the interview title right next to that video, plus obviously only showing the medalists start the ITT in the highlights video....
Clearly not someone giving a fuck that there are more people watching the replays after work/school than live at 11am and that a significant percentage of them try to avoid spoilers.
As if those were videos trying to attract random viewers rather than having a clear audience that would watch them even with a black thumbnail and a clean title.
But either way, full German ITT domination incoming!

FYP. Let's face it, can you seriously be in hospital and on antibiotics a week before becoming world champion?
In Vuelta stage 19 form, sure.
