Now mate that looks just fantastic.
I do hope you finish this variant, since you clearly got the atmosphere and the nice scenery that I like to have surrounding the actual racing.
Your stages look alive indeed, so I hope they play out that way too.
Go for it !!!!!
Cheers

Thanks @clamel , I love comments like yours, they help to keep on working!
Stage 20
Last mountain stage, first 2 climbs in Asturias (Picos de Europa), and then the race goes to Cantabria's beautiful valleys. As in previous stages, every little village is made. Hardest mountains are at the beggining to allow riders to do different tactics counter the leaders. I shut up or you'll get bored xd

I don't think I've commented here yet, but this really is amazing, good luck with the end of it, I'll definitely add this variant to my game.
btw: I really love the hay bales reading 'la vuelta' just like spectactors do in real life. |

STAGE 21
Last stage, time trial, as always, great detail of Bilbao and all villages. The aren't any intermediate sprints to make it more epic xd

Excellent, samu, you've done it after it sounded like you'd give up halfway through. Thanks for helping out, coolrex. Only yesterday I finished a Vuelta in my career (2023), so this is just in time for the start of the new season. I'm really looking forward to riding this course, it looks stunning.
Certainly it's brutal, sprinters needn't turn up for this. And it's a shame that in career mode the other teams only send their "backup riders" to the Vuelta. Would it help to set the gene_f_popularity to 100 in STA_race? Has anybody tried that? I believe ever since the first version I played back in 2003 it's been the same story, hardly any good riders ever come to the Vuelta.

It Could help but the AI always deals strangely with the Vuelta, cause most of the time the main stage racers have already raced either Giro or Tour (or even both) and don't give a flying f of the 3rd GT.

Yeah, I know, it's been like that forever and I'd really like to even it out a bit. Sorry, this discussion doesn't really belong in this thread, I'll try a new thread in the general discussion.

Even I didn't think I could finish this two months ago, I had huge problems with the editor.

I just checked out the first stage because I've actually been skiing in Sierra Nevada (half a lifetime ago) and thus have been up and down that road - spectacular! Really well done! |

Hey samu12, your Vuelta looks really amazing! I just wanted to give it a go but unfortunately the first and last stage are both not playable for me. I think it's because of the problem caused by cobbles in a TT which makes the game crash. I am using PCM 2013 (I think I read somewhere that your stages are for 2013, too) but I don't know whether this porblem still excists in 2014.
Would be very niice if you could release the two stages without cobbles cause I really want to play this incredible Vuelta.
Thnak you! |

The cobbled TT crash when you simulate them. If you play them, there aren´t any problems. It´s bad for, for example, stories with Continental teams, as you haven´t the chance to play them, only simulate them

CRITERIUM DE OVIEDO
5 laps in Oviedo, with an alternative route to Naranco (25%), a gravel route, and then the urban part, with some weak cobble.
