Unfortunately it seems like Betancur still is Columbia and doesnt communicate with Gavenu or whatever the sportif is called at Ag2R. He needs to go to France to renew Visa - if not, no Tour de France. Even if he goes to France, im not so sure about what to expect from him.
Rodriguez will attend Tour de France, however he will just use it as preparation for the Vuelta and hopefully get a stage win somewhere. Its unrealistic, but lets say he somehow does well in Arenberg and feels good physically, he could make something happen in the Vosgues with two climbs tailermode for him. But as I said, its a litlle dreamy. Hope for the best.
Henao will ride the Tour and the Tour de Suisse in preparation. If he and Kennaugh is ridin like expected, Sky is huge in the mountains this year, maybe even more than ever (If Richie Porte is as strong as 2013). Glad to see him back, even though he is from Sky. |

Bentacur is one of the laziest riders in the peleton. After good spring he went back to Colombia and partied too much. He has no shape at all. That's what happened last year too, after awesome Giro, he went missing for the whole year partying
Sergio Henao, the situation is unclear. I still have hope he will ride Vuelta, which he should really contend for podium there, he'll come as fresh as they come. Too late for Tour I think.
Intentional?

Meh, not happy about it. But that's maybe because I would have loved to see him at the Tour of Austria, beasting up the Kitzbühler Horn, which is like the perfect climb for him.
It'll depend on his form but he could end up riding le Tour as a bit of a wildcard that makes the stages more intensive by solely gunning for stage wins and not giving a rat's ass about GC placement.... which would be actually quite great I guess.

Nibali doesn't stand a chance to win the tour, he was even worse than Kelderman who just raced the giro |

I really hate how the young riders classification works. IMO the age should be taken from the end of the Tour, not the end of the year. Puts guys born later in the year, like Talansky, at a huge disadvantage. I mean he was born after the season is over. They basically get 1 less season than guys born at the beginning of the year to be eligible for it.
What do you guys think? I think a guy that was born after the season is over and less than 2 months before the end should not get a year less than a guy born in January. As long as they are 25 at Tour's end, why should it matter?

I think you should focus on more important things in your life. I mean c'mon son, your boy Andrew just won his biggest race of his career after the best stage of the year, and after 15 minutes you are here talking about some stupid rule? |

I agree, you're only 26 way after the race ends (freaking November)
Spoiler A little bias since I still have faith that I can become a pro and my wish is to win the white jersey but I'm born in December so I only have 5 years instead of 6

Technically it's the 'under 25' classification IIRC, though riders born in 89 who turned 25 already (Degenkolb f.e.) are still eligible. Talansky is 25 already so he's too old no matter what.
It's even more unfair when you take a look at the junior and u23 categories. A lot of times we see the strong riders who are born in January or February, since they're a bit older than the rest.

Boonen skips TdF. He feels there's nothing to win for him He thinks the cobbled stage is not hard enough to drop the top sprinters. Also he likes to ride for himself instead of riding for Cavendish. He'll go to Eneco Tour, maybe Vuelta in preparations of WC and the fall classics. |

Shame about about it but on the plus side it creates the spot for Bakelants |

Good move for Boonen to skip the Tour, he is correct that there is nothing to win there for him anymore, makes more sense to aim at other things for himself and the team. Agree with Kirchen that it opens up a spot for Bakelants especially after bagging a win at the Dauphine.

Cav, Martin, Kwiatek, Renshaw, Terpstra, Trentin, Bakelants and Steegmans are the obvious eight, but I have no idea who number nine will be. |
