So funny how when the Vuelta starts, Horner's leg movements match the beat of the song.

Big thanks to jdog for making this AMAZING userbar!
This story won't mean much to folk outside of Australia but our best Conti team and even with Drapac moving to pro conti I still rate this squad as stronger in Huon Salmon Genesys Wealth Advisers has changed sponsorship and will known as Avanti Racing Team. I like bike companies sponsoring cycling teams but I will miss the orange army on the front of the local peloton, I own and Avanti (well it is currently stripped and hanging on the wall as I am riding my TCR 1 and TCR SL) and they are a underrated machine. I also actually have an ex Genesys Malvern Star bike from when they switched to riding Avanti's last season. https://www.cyclingnews.com/news/huon-...acing-team Anyway just thought I would update on local OZ cycling news. Oh and if anyone wants to see the next big cycling talent to come out of this country outside of Ewan who we all know should know check out Jack Haig, rides for the now named Avanti and is a massive talent, will ride WT in the future and really could be anything

Just as a side note Ewan has just won a local crit in Melbourne which included quite a decent OGE line-up. The race was Baden Cooke's final race as a professional cyclist and he has now retired.
Also I'm glad to see Avanti continuing to support the local cycling scene. The TDF would not be the same without Phil Liggett's terrible voice acting in their ads on SBS.
Marque posted few pictures of documents for UCI, the medication he took that tested positive, well, he informed UCI well before hand he was going use it for his knee ( he has pictures of his knee too to show he needed the medication ) and UCI I believe agreed to it.
Not necessarily. See US Pystol, it was all very classical. They just knew how to handle it so that they didn't (or rarely) got caught.
It's good news there's now an Aicar test and maybe riders will look less abnormally skinny, but as soon as they'll have figured out how the test work (what's the detection time window after taking it) and cross-checked it with the time the effects last, they'll be using it again.
Note that I'm not necessarily talking about (just) Sky here.

Maybe not
Cyclingnews wrote that his contract clause was about negative publicity (not getting banned), so if its true then Mov can elect to not hire him.
Hope this clause is not true thou
Ivan Gutierrez will once again start his season at the Tour Down Under...
Speaking of, the start list for that is starting to take shape. I know it's REAL early season, but it will be good to watch. Every year, that race seems to become more and more prestigious, with greater competition coming even if only to roll the legs out.
When you can't decide between two options, flip a coin. Not because the result of the coin will choose for you, but because, in that split second before the coin lands, you'll know what side you want it to fall on.

My money is on Kerrison. Good guy, has some good potential and has gotten a fair few results. As time goes by, he'll only get stronger. I'd say another Avanti (Genesis)/Budget showdown next season, particularly with those two youngsters

Budget Forklifts have made some strong signings and with Drapac going pro conti they should get more invites to some of the asian tours.

Agreed, it will be good to see. I just wish that more teams were able to compete at that level, particularly in the sprints. Even if it was just another one or two... This next season is going to open that gap up a bit more I think, unless another team has found someone that has slipped under the radar.
