Nice report. I expected Howard to take the win as he had the perfect wheel. At least he kept his high speed up to the finish and could secure 2nd.
Edmondson today without any influence as 50th.
And conrats once again to Risa. Sutton seems in great early form. |

Two quite solid results from Howard, too bad that he couldn't better use his great position in stage 2. And really nice reports!

Wow Sutton takes two wins in a row! He won a couple in my first season, could be thereabouts in C2 races this year by the looks.
Difficult to make too many assumptions from what we've seen - perhaps that the flat stat of a sprinter is still important. But also an uncomplicated route to the sprint also perhaps is important.
Enjoying these crits, proving very active. I wonder whether Hansen can do okay on the hilly one?

Good to see Hansen trying again. Sutton is really on fire there, now the hilly circuit should provide even better racing.

@all: Thanks for the feedback! I will put the 3rd race's report online soon!
@Smowz: I guess the sprint-stat is most important here, even though Sutton hasn't got the best stats of all. But for example, Simon Clarke is pretty strong even with a flat-stat of only 66 (iirc), so for those short circuits, the backup-stats don't seem to be that important. But it's hard to find the truth, as there's always some more circumstances paying a role here (lead-out, good position in general).

Was not expecting Kinoshita to be so attacking Wish this was raced before we had to finish planners
Clearly the nationality bonus is strong though Was hoping Manan would do a little better.

I think the hilly stage will show the National bonus even more as it`s not only about positioning. Looking forward to it. |

There was a reason why this was raced after all Raceplanners had been sent in Maybe Kinoshita won't attack that much in "regular season", you never know More surprising was Arashiro's attack (or better: his try), even though he was one of the pre-race-favourites..

I know, I know. Just joking around Obviously its a pretty good example of why it wasn't raced until all race planners were in

Nice to see Edmondson in the breakaway. Still working on my ideas for the next 2 seasons but I will actually try to develop him over the next years.
And Morton already proving his strength. Nicely done. The favourites waited a bit too long obviously. |

3rd for Kinoshita! I'll take that! Great ride by him. Sano in the top 10 as well.
That was a very exciting stage.

Only now read the race reports and they are excellent. As the only man of my team present will not have any chance to make an impression ...

Wow, loved how the hilly section played out. A great win by Morton showing his potential. Satisfaction for us also, that Meyin Wang managed a strong 7th place |

Good to see Kennaugh and Kinoshita challenge the Aussie dominance!
On the basis of this first two crits though, Im not expecting to see much return from Sam Bennett this season! Didnt really expect much in the first place, but hoped he would at least try to sprint

Too bad he lost time in the previous stage.

My understanding of a crit series is that this doesn't matter at all
