Not that, please. Wiggins + Froome + J-Rod on the same team? That wouldn't be good, me don't want to see Rodriguez working for Wiggins and especially Froome. |

I was thinking Radioshack, other than that I'm really struggling as to who could take him on. |

Well if it weren't so late, I'm sure Quickstep would've been interested. But now that they have Cav, I don't think so. |

First reaction when i saw the news: OMG WOOOOOO!!!! Argos!!!!
Anywho, I think they deserve it. When you can dominate the sprints in the Vuelta with 5 stage wins, then you can rightfully call yourself one of (if not the) best sprinters teams in cycling right now.
I won't miss Katusha except for Rodriguez, hopefully he gets a spot at a WT team or the team gets wildcards for him. I personally would've preferred seeing Saxo or Euskaltel lose WT-status, but oh well. |

Well, if Rodriguez has a clause I wouldn't be surprised of Oleg Tinkov has the money...

Meanwhile, british authorities are investigating rife doping at the Linda McCartney team just after the turn of the millenium. Apparently "The team wanted to hire only riders who knew how to dope themselves and came to the races already 'prepared' ".
Team manager that year was Sean Yates, let go a few weeks ago by Sky where he said he never saw doping at any of his previous teams.
The only riders on that team who are still active are Russell Downing, Marlon Perez Arango and Bradley Wiggins who was only contacted to them for 1 month before the team folded and never got to ride for them

"I love him, I think he's great. He's transformed the sport in so many ways. Every person in cycling has benefitted from Lance Armstrong, perhaps not financially but in some sense" - Bradley Wiggins on Lance Armstrong

Bribing uci isn't cheap but revenge after exactly 4 years is so sweet, no matter what the price.

Well, there are 6 stages, then I guess EBH will win 3, Thomas will win one and Sutton the remaining two
Mighty strong team Sky's sending. But then again, any 7 riders they pick will form a strong team.

Tbh, I hope not His target is April not January. I mean he'll still do great lead-out and help EBH to get good GC but nothing more than that.

OPQS have only 29 riders for 2013, so there is room for rodriguez

They can afford him, probably
And they want to become an all around team, so he'd be a perfect GC man for them! |

Personally, I think that the fact they won consistently against second/third class sprinters in the Vuelta proves that they are in fact not second class but first class, as you expect another first class sprinter like Cavendish or Greipel to get the same results.
Also, don't forget Kittel, he can beat Cavendish and I don't see why he can't do it again.
I don't exactly know the outlook of all the teams next year, but I think you jump to conclusions if you already write them off. Euskaltel hasn't exactly has a good year in 2012 with no prominent results, and if their 2013 roster is similar I expect a bigger fail from them than for Argos. |

Just a confirmation that Purito is free to leave Katusha.
