Anyone can recommend a nice strategy game(preferably a historic one)?
EU wasn't really what I wanted and I've already played way too much Total War.
Considering picking up a Stronghold game again(had loads of fun with Stronghold 2 but might be outdated or there might be a better alternative) but if anyone can point me to an awesome strategy game that'd be great
I would recommend civilization 5, it is not really a hard core strategy game but it is really fun in my opinion
+1
It's not really a multiplayer game but you can spend hundreds of hours playing single player.
Not quite sure where the 'not really a multiplayer game' comes from; it's even better in multiplayer than in single player! (it's one of those 'the more the merrier' games)
Not for me
Finding a multiplayer game in civ v that actually starts can take forever and then finishing a game also takes too long for a multiplayer game. At the ones I played in it was pretty much a last man standing kind of game, the last to quit wins. I enjoy the single player games more
I love Civ both ways. Multiplayer is extremely fun but only with a small group of friends you can get going with. Too many moving parts and it will fall apart, just like a civ in the game will.
