I wouldn't mine Cyanide taking 2 years on the next PCM-game to improve it, so that they can make it better. Anyone else?

Well, the problem with that is the economy. Can Cyanide survive as a company if they do not sell PCM next year? |

Cyanide makes other games as well, and would easily survive
Blood Bowl is one of their games and quite popular, other such as A Game of Thrones: Genesis or a big one that got a big amount of news for small company is Of Orcs and Men coming out later this year. So yeah, no problems imo.
The thing is that you don't release sport games every two years now. Publisher will want to make money out of it, as much as possible. And with the current Cyanide is making changes to one part of the game at given year, making it better every year, like past two years. And they will continue doing that, improving the game bit by bit every year. Like FIFA or FM 12. Although they in different state, while their games are polished in terms of game play and managerial parts, now they small new features to keep audience coming back for new game every year etc. While PCM series is yet to be polished. We cant compare much as both studios have much more money to develop their games
So in short, not going deeper into it the answer is no, Lazy-Target.

Maybe they'd survive, but I'm not sure 'easily'. Cyanide isn't the biggest company out there, although I don't know how well does their other games sell.

PCM will never have as many new features every year as a game such as FIFA can have due to the number of people working for EA. I would personally like to see some more effort being put into the manager-part of the game. At the moment you can barely call it Pro Cycling Manager. Just look at how much depth there is in Football Manager; if FM is an ocean then PCM is a puddle. |

Yea, easily might be over the top by Blood Bowl is making bigger sales than PCM. Big thing it's big on Xbox and PC, while PCM on Xbox just started. Of Orcs and Men is going to be their biggest ever release too, so much will depend on that financially for the team.
@ cactus-jack Yes, agreed. That was my first point on first page in this thread

It would be nice if they cut put in a torturial, or make it a bit easier to understand. So that they can get more to buy this. The first time I played PCM it was hard to understand.

I still hoping for implement of track races to career mode! You know, buy one track rider to the team and then win some World Cups and World titles... Thats what I'm missing since there is Track mode.
Also love the idea about Olympic games avery 4 years...

It's funny. I've played a few versions of this game and was reasonably happy with them. There were issues but I couldn't do anything about them and just played around them. It's not a pure management game like Football Manager, and it's not completely an arcade game like FIFA.
However, reading threads in this forum has made me realise just how many problems there are, and also how seemingly easy they would be to fix. There are people here who seem to be able to make the game more playable, although most of it seems to be done through the editor.
I realise that Cyanide doesn't have the same resources as SEGA, for example, but some of these problems have been around for a long time.
I suppose that my wish for PCM 12 is just for a game that works straight out of the box in the way that it should. I shouldn't have to feel the need to use an editor to make the game fully playable.
I know it won't happen. |

I think I saw somebody saing it before in this thread, but it would be very nice to be able to have personal contact with your riders to discuss their results, contracts. I remember PCM2006 where you had to promis a new rider which GT's he would ride when he signed for your team. That would be one great thing!
Also it would be nice to see that Cyanide succeeds at writing the names of the teams and names of the riders. But I believe that this was a problem with rights or something..

Additional on all the remarks of everyone I want to add just a small add-on. In the results lists of stage races I would like to see the changes in the classification. How many places a rider lost or gained compared to the number 1.
Some simple arrows with a number will do |

Speaking as someone who was very confused in my first couple of weeks playing the game, I'm confident that there are many people who buy the game during the tour, never understand the game and don't buy any sequals. If a tutorial was made, these people would understand the game and would buy later editions, increasing the number of people who buy the game. |

I see your point and it is valid, but I for one don't agree. I can not see how a tutorial would increase revenue significantly. |

It couldn't double the revenue or anything like that, but tutorials arn't that hard to make and the increase in revenue from making a tutorial would surely be larger than the cost of producing one |

The thing is, if you want something as detailed and well done as FIFAs tutorial it will cost time and money. There is a somewhat decent explanation in folder that comes with the game.
Of course a tutorial would be the best, but it would still take time. Time that should be spent improving the managerial aspect of the game. |

In general Cyanide should look more to the 2006 version of the game. Not only what you mention, but also the fact that you could apply for jobs at other teams, and not have to select between 3 teams at the end of season. There are probably also more features which I have forgot to mention.
This was the best version of the game, and after this game they have just removed everything that they were successful with in 2006. |

Another minor change would be for riders to eat and drink more and zip open jerseys. |
