I wish that they could make the last climb/last 3 km on every stage in scale 1:1. I know that it would cause some other problems but it isn't realistic to sprint with 1 km to go.

Sure the 3D racing has flaws and is far from perfect, but personally, I would hope that most of the attention would be paid to the management side of the game. In my opinion, that is where PCM severely lags behind.
The magazine? Cool idea, but implemented terribly. The interactions with the "media" are pointless and seem to have little if any effect. But to be fair, I'm not sure many games have gotten this right.
AI training programs, rider schedules, transfer decisions, this is where I would hope PCM would improve.

If that happened, it wouldn't be Pro Cycling Manager. And i sure as hell wouldn't play it.
Probably already been mentioned but some sort of challenge system? Almost like the demos, ie you could have a scenario that you have to complete to unlock others and so on, at different difficulty levels, instead of just careers. They could even be historical challenges, ones where you have to effectivley recreate history or change it, ie:
-You're armstrong when suddenly you crash on Luz Airden in 2003. You're now behind and have to win the stage,
-You're landis in the '06 tour. You need to gain 8 mins. Go (bit controversial that on, I admit.)
-You're hushovd in the '09 roubaix, when woops, you crash. Time to win from that position.
-possibilities are endless, as even daft ones can be made, ie you have a rider who can't climb for shit going into 2 the 2 final tour mountain stages with a 30 minute lead, and have to defend it till paris.
i don't like the new team achivements page, in previous versions you could see all achiivements on 1 page and scroll down, on PCM 2010 they are hidden and you have to click on the tab for each class of race, this is ugly imo, bring back the 1 page please! Ideally have the better races at the top of the page and worse as you scroll down.

the fantsy draft mode is very close to this, except once the season is over thats game over, it cant be that difficult for game makers to create a short season mode.
Another Idea. How about a button for domestics that allows them to finish the stage once there job is done. They just sit in the Autobus, get their own water, Etc. I'm tired of babysitting when I should be controlling my leaders.

That is the best idea ever. I need such an button.
@Rocksteady
what do you mean by 'babysitting'? I mean, if there's a domestic in my team in he's done his job I have nothing to do with him, just get water 1 or 2 times, and takes like 4 secs.
Why manager in some team cant change a team after the season ?? Like in fifa , you should sing a contract whit team when the contract is over you can change a team or you can renew whit your curent team . After few season I somethimes would like to change a team but i cant becuase this is inposible in pro cycling manager but in other games or in reality you can do thease .
I have posted these ideas before in some other forums, but I want to recycle them as I think they are good:
Now these are just my ideas, I am sure that there are plenty of other people that have many more ideas and better ones.
I am going to use Saxo Bank in my examples, as I have done many times when I have posted ideas on the forums, because they have a very good website where info is easy to find.
First of all, I want the game to be more like the real leaders of the teams; maybe I am getting the wrong idea of what this game is trying to be. And perhaps not every team is built like Saxo Bank. I want the role of Bjarne Riis as team manager of Saxo Bank, which is run by his company, Riis Cycling A/S.
Staff:
Saxo Bank is run by Riis Cycling A/S, which has 12 in the administration alone, and 4 in the board. Then Saxo Bank has 6 sport directors plus Riis, 13 people listed has the doctors and soigneurs and 8 mechanics. Ok, the 12 in admin and 4 on the board are not all that important. In 2010 Bobby Julich was a part of the Saxo team, he had the title as rider development manager. Surly he would be nice to have in the game. He had the task of technical development, test of and time trail training; also he was largely responsible in the training and development of youth riders. Perhaps the sponsor relations manager Michael Elgaard would be nice to have in the game, to comment on what the sponsor think, the goals and so on. The sponsor interaction is a bit poor now I think. There are plenty more people on the site, with their job title. So you can go see who you would like to have in the game. The mechanics I would say is a very important part of the game, which other than them would take care of the equipment. I also would love it if there were sporting directors in the team instead of the trainers there are now. After a while they would be former riders. Would need skills like tactics, man management, and whatever makes a good director.
All in all I want the team to be bigger. Now it seam that the team is one, manager, couple of trainers, doctors ,a scout, and the riders. Not much of a team.
Equipment:
Why do you get the choice of equipment to buy, if there are no effects of what gear you have? And why is the equipment not sponsored, like in almost all of the dbs that come out later. And when you have picked your equipment, bikes, wheels and helmets, you should not be able to choose any other for perhaps a year or two. You would sign a sponsor deal with the fake brand, perhaps getting some money from the deal to, bonus if you win this and that. This would be switched with the real brands when the aftermarket db comes out.
Scouting:
Now I am not sure how the scouting in cycling works in real life, but I am guessing that you have to go see some races. Watching the results from the region you are in, who is always winning the races? Talk to the teams, what are the riders like, is he a champion, what is he like. Does he party all the time, is he a model professional. This would probably be hard to do, but I think that it would be great if you could see the race results of the young riders you are scouting. But this would make it so it would be A LOT of small races in the background that you would not be able to race in with your team. But they would be simmed. And you would be able to go to a table where these races are ranked, hilly, mountainous or flat. That way you could follow the riders more. You looking for the next young sprinter, go look at the results of the flat races, climber look at the mountainous. Well you get where I am going. A rider that is miles ahead of the others, a rider is how is pro tour material should stick out a bit. Now sign him as stagiaire. Take him to some smaller races that will be harder then the “youth races” he has dominated in before, see how he does. Still looking good, offer him a contract. Surly there are some people that has some fantastic ideas to make the scouting part of the game better.
Training:
What teams have trainers?? Ok the sporting directors and perhaps some help for the doctors, but in real life most of the riders have personal trainers. Why are they connected to the team in the game? WHYYYY
Tactics:
Setting up the tactics before a race, train in the sprint should be pre determined. Who will drop down to get a fallen captain, and this could work automatically even when you are not simming the race. Now I want some changes in the roles in the team, I want the road captain back. How good some of the tactics work, how fast the leader gets help will depend on how good a road captain is. He is the extended arm of the sport director and it is not always the intercom communication works that good.
Skills:
Perhaps we could have some more skills in the game? Like positioning, important I think. Perhaps bike handling would be nice to have, Fränk Schleck, 55. Good tactical skills for the road captain which come with age, Arvesen. Decisions, timing, work rate, team work. Some of the skills will have an effect on the team harmony. Getting a rider like Ricco into a team is not always going to work wonders on the team morale.
Roles:
I want to have a more defined role setup. If you can have three leaders, like the game starts out now. I want to define the three leaders, Contador: Absolute leader, Cancellara: Cobbles leader: Cavendish: Sprint leader. Or Vinokourov, Contador is our absolute leader, you will get to be the leader when he is not racing with you. Or something like that. Now the second leader if you can call him that can get a bit cross if you set him as a team mate. And if the absolute leder is below perhaps 80 I fitness you could say to him that Navarro will be our leader today as you are still getting into shape for the TDF. And he would not get crossed.
Like I said I want the road captain back. He would be my long arm into the peloton, and if one of my leaders fall or puncture and you have it set up so that three guys go down to get him up. The reaction from the team mates would depend on how good the road captain was.
Also I want the stagiaire to be a part of the game.
Riders:
The riders need some personality, surly this can be fixed. The real riders are not that hard to tell how they are. This could affect who you pick for your team in the TDF, not just the skills. This would also make the interaction better, between the riders, me and the sponsor.
Goals:
Need more defined goals to. Main goals are ok. But I want more. If you have “Win TDF” as a main goal, I would perhaps like to have some smaller goals there to. “Take the prologue in the TDF”, “take the team GC”, “and Win one stage”.
The team GC needs to be more important to, Saxo, RadioShack wanted these last year.
Season:
If you are overly in to the manager part you should be able to plan the whole year with racing, which rider will go to what race, and setting up some goals with the riders. “Contador, you are going to win TDF this year. I want you to race this, this and this race, training camp here.” You would be able to plan the fitness peaks based on the race program. Basically you could sim the year after you have planed it. Taking out 13-15 riders and telling them that you are in the pot for the last nine in TDF.
Sponsors:
MORE sponsors. Bike sponsors, like in equipment, clothing. Saxo Bank-Sungarden has:
Saxo Bank (of course)
Sungarden
Specialized(equipment)
Skoda (equipment)
Sportful (cycling clothing)
Speedplay(equipment)
Science in Sport (nutrition)
Sram (equipment)
Zipp (equipment)
Tack (equipment)
SRM(equipment)
FSA (equipment)
Training peaks (training)
Panacea (nutrition)
Morgan Blue
Prologo
Vangsgaard
Nilfisk ALTO
Wannafind
Scicon
Sportsbalm
Deco plant (green Office space)
Now this is going to be hard to get into the game just because of the massive amounts of licenses that would be required. But even fake names in the sponsor part of the game would be ok there (real names comes from the fans). But what I would really like is to have the chance to get a list as long as this with a custom team, and to be able to build a new top team from the start of the game. Like Shack did or Sky. But the team would take the name of the sponsor, and since it is a fake name (later real when the db start coming out) you would need to find new sponsors if the one you have get crossed because you can’t get the results they want. Or you want a bigger budget, get another sponsor in and the team name would change with it.
Weather:
I want a weather report before each race, or stage. Will it be strong side wind( would be nice to see where on the stage the strong side wind comes, to see if there is a possibility to split the field) , heavy rain and so on.
Training camp:
Add wind tunnel testing to get better TT skills, perhaps with the option to alter the position on the bike to get down the drag. But adjust to much, the power disappears.
Staff:
What would the additional staff be for? Just cost more money?
Equipment + Sponsors:
The equipment should be integrated into the sponsor management part. It should be possible to search for main, secondary and material sponsors.
But why do you want to be forced to search for so many sponsors?
Scouting:
You send a scout out. If you are good in role playing, imagine that the scout is doing all the stuff you suggested.
Training:
Remind you that this is a game. Most players want to select the trainer and the training, don't you think? Would you be happy if you have to convince all riders to train a certain style but they randomly would not do it?
Tactics:
So basically you want to be able to define tactics prior to the race and to have a road captain who messes them up eventually? Me not.
Goals:
I would rather like to see bigger goals than smaller goals. For example "Win the TdF in this or next year or we will quit the sponsorship".
Season:
I want that too, that is why me tool allows you to do about that.
Weather:
In real life the forecast is not always correct. If implemented realistically, you couldn't trust it anyway.
Training camps:
Please consider that the correct position would be posted in the forums sooner or later, so this would be a rather useless feature.

Some stuff that would be pleasing (in order of how pleasing they would be)..
1. No bugs
2. The last 5km of stages + last mountain in real time.
3. Have histories for all the riders, or (like someone else said) at least have blank ones so the community can fill them in.
4. Separate Continental + ProConti teams.
5. Team cars following the race would make it seem a bit more realistic.
6. A 'ride in the grupetto' button so you don't have to worry about sprinters on mountain stages.
7. Someone else said have the protection work the other way round.
8. Finally, this is unrealistic because of the amount of maillots and equipment that'd have to be in the game, but it would be cool if teams could collapse and change sponsors as they do in real life.
EDIT: The first four would be great, although I don't really remember any bugs for me with PCM10. So 2, 3 and 4 would be great to see.

I just want as real a game as possible. I know that a lot of people use FM as a look to how to do it. Would you not want to have your own staff there?
The budget in real teams are way higher then in the game. Or I think it is.
Also the finance part of the game needs to change. Once again look to FM, good financial set up.
Staff: Doctors responsible for riders' well-being and often making sure the riders meet regulations such as those related to doping.
Soigneurs, who are assistants responsible for feeding, clothing, and escorting riders. They also massage riders.
Mechanics, who are responsible for the team's equipment.
Sponsor relations manager, more interaction with the sponsor. The way it is now it seams like we once in a while look through a door to check if he look angry or happy. Boring.
List of Sky from wikipedia
General manager David Brailsford (GBR)
Performance Director Shane Sutton (AUS)
Team Psychiatrist Dr. Steve Peters (GBR)
Operations Manager Carsten Jeppesen (DEN)
Directeur sportif Sean Yates (GBR)
Directeur sportif Marcus Ljungqvist (SWE)
Directeur sportif Steven de Jongh (NED)
Directeur sportif Servais Knaven (NED)
Directeur sportif Nicolas Portal (FRA)
Race Coach Rod Ellingworth (GBR)
Race Coach Bobby Julich (USA)
Race Coach Dan Hunt (GBR)
Equipment and sponsors: Why not, it is more realistic, and when you do that you would sign sponsors for the next 1-3 years. Glad you agree with the equipment part, don't understand what they are thinking about that part when making the game.
Scouting: Ok, I see your point. The scout might be doing all that. But I also want to do it, give the new riders some character. I am guessing it takes a little more then just a scout saying "hey this guy is good", before Brailsford signs him to Sky
Training: Taking a chance and saying that most riders define them self early on what type of rider they are, there are not that many that totally change the way they race, sprinter to climber. But you could ask a rider to change a bit. If you have weight in the game, and you have a good TT rider with ok climbing skills. Ask if he could loose a few kg during the build up to a new season.
This mixes with the season part. Planing the year for the riders is a big part of manager. But this is done with the rider, not all of course. Cancellara wants to ride this and this race, during the spring. Tdf this summer. in the fall we have not decided. His traning form would be done with his coach, what training he will be doing. These people are professionals, in most cases. These will also be affected by some new stats, work rate, discipline, and the character of the rider. Is he a professional or is he a slacker. Heinrich Haussler said him self that he partyed to much before and that he got much better results after he got more focused, new stat, on the work.
Also these things come under the interaction. Right now there is no interaction. Tell a rider that you need him in shape for this race in 2 months, the sponsor wants us to win. Bust his moral, good ride. You looked strong in the mountains today.
Tactics: This will mostly be for the sim part. Just think it can be better some how, and the road captain is a very important rider in the team. The older guy, the calm guy, the guy who reads the race good. and so on.
Goals: Agree with that. But that would need to be with a custom team. And if you look under sponsors before I wrote a little about that.
But I still want the smaller goals. Again when they were called CSC, i know that they had goals like: Take the prologe, win team GC, rider GC and I think a stage.
Season: not used your tool, but I want it in the game. Why don't you sell your to use in the game. Is it good?
The way I want it is that by picking races for a rider, say Cancellara. You would calculate his peak for the cobbels, tdf and the worlds. Say to him and 4 others will go and stay 2 days ahead of Ronde van Vlaanderen to tune their bikes with some of the mechanics and tune their form.
Weather: Of course you can not trust the forecast 100%, but if you get a report of strong winds it usually is correct. The direction of the wind, with a route map would be nice to have. So that you can do like in tdf two years ago. One right turn, and full pedal and the field split like crazy. Contador behind and Armstong ahead. Remember.
Training camp: If you use the Internet to check these things, thats ok, I don't. But these will be rider to rider set ups. Power, agility, and work rate, interest(not a good stat, but you get my idea). Cunego does not look good on a TT bike, perhaps he does not bother, have the power og agility to stay in a good position. Cancellara has a great position, read that last year when Specialized was adjusting the bikes for Saxo they found his position perfect for him and that he had very good agility for a rider of his size and power. They just gave him new special casted shoes to keep his ankles from falling in during pedaling. (excess pronation)
I just want the game to evolve, for it to become more realistic.
