Welcome to the 7th edition of the Pro Hallstatt Classic. A unique climbing race. It isn't just one big climb to decide the winner but rather several attempts up the same climb with repetition being the deciding factor. Maybe you could liken it to a far easier version of GP Liechtenstein. The finish comes on top of a 3 km steep hill, which is sure to test the limits of the riders, having already tackled the six previous climbs. While climbing is the main skill, a powerful final punch is also important.
| MO | HI | ST | RS | SP | AC | Olivier | 81 | 76 | 76 | 80 | 64 | 71 | Padun | 82 | 77 | 72 | 74 | 60 | 75 | Godoy | 81 | 76 | 75 | 76 | 59 | 75 | Meintjes | 80 | 78 | 77 | 76 | 61 | 69 | Sosa | 79 | 78 | 75 | 79 | 59 | 74 | Barguil | 80 | 74 | 76 | 76 | 63 | 74 | Reis | 81 | 73 | 78 | 76 | 50 | 64 | Schlegel | 79 | 77 | 71 | 74 | 64 | 75 | Arndt | 78 | 75 | 76 | 75 | 70 | 74 | Ranaweera | 80 | 73 | 75 | 75 | 58 | 65 | Frankiny | 78 | 76 | 72 | 75 | 61 | 75 | Van Gils | 78 | 76 | 71 | 75 | 68 | 76 | De Plus | 77 | 79 | 74 | 73 | 61 | 72 | Lopez | 78 | 76 | 71 | 72 | 60 | 78 | Penasa | 79 | 73 | 73 | 70 | 56 | 74 | Munoz | 79 | 73 | 72 | 72 | 56 | 71 | Arensman | 78 | 73 | 72 | 77 | 63 | 68 | Lunke | 78 | 72 | 76 | 74 | 60 | 65 |
Olivier is back to defend his title albeit wearing a different team's jersey. The Dutchman seems perfectly suited to the race with his climbing punch and strong resistance. The top two challengers might be Padun and Godoy. The Ukrainian is technically the best MO/HI climber, but that rarely plays out, while Godoy is very similar to Olivier in most of the stats. A really good HI stat has helped some riders in this race before, so Meintjes and Sosa can be dangerous dark horses. Barguil is more of a classic climber, while Reis is a really strong diesel that can potentially do very well, but has to be more mindful of his effort. Schlegel, Frankiny and Arndt also all fall into the very punchy category of climbers and all of them have already shown very good results at this race in the past. |

Thanks for the preview. Will the full startlist be added?
Excited to see who gets to join the BOTD, as I expect to find one or two of our guys in it.

Looking forward to Olivier's (hopefully) scoring debut. If he gets close to last season's result, it'll be a great outing for us.
Thanks for the preview red

Should be Padun's race to win, praying that Barguil gets a great result for us here, even in his declined stage he should be able to keep up with the best here!
Thanks for the preview!

Let's hope Ranaweera does well here. Pinot should be a good help for him and can maybe score a bit on his own.

Oomen out of race days, so I hope De Plus or Van Gils can deliver a top 10.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Not looking forward to this one. Not brining Cattaneo because that would be a waste of RD, so the best we can do is a breakaway or a shock result from Vosekalns.

And finally Sosa's debut for us. Hopefully his climbing is good enough to keep at the front and his hi/ac combo is enough to finish strong. Got pretty much our best climbing squad with him so no excuses on that front.

Oof, not a great start from Sosa failing even to get a top 10 and losing to multiple weaker riders. He was never well positioned. We will chalk it up to first race nerves.

Schlegel continuing his good run of solid (but not amazing) results. It'll be interesting to see how that pans out in terms of points, because there are failures from other areas of the team which he will need to cover for. Thanks for the report Imladrik.

Ouch. No one in the breakaway, no one in top 25, Seboka not even in top 50.
At least we can share the disappointment with Trans Looney Tunes.

Thanks for the report to Imladrik and congrats to Abhi!
Ranaweera on the attack was an unusual view, but it's clearly been a great effort by him. We would have taken 4th without hesitating pre-race, but coming this close to an even better result still makes it bitter-sweet.
