Whatever the route (voted hills to then push for more Medium Mountains, but Mountains is perfectly fine) I'd love the Worlds to head to one of France, Italy, Spain - Spain especially as they've somehow not hosted yet in the MG world and would have so many possible route options!
I agree in general, but have voted hills nonetheless as I fear a mountain WC wouldn't make a very interesting race as it's probably the terrain with the shortest list of potential winners (essentially PHL and Herklotz after what I've seen this season). Maybe we could find a route with more medium mountains like TMM suggested and a non-mountaintop finish, Basque Country should have plenty of opportunities there.
I’m never really a fan of MO route as it really only opens for 3-4 possible champions. I’d like to see an open route, and for me HI is the best option.
I don’t have any contenders for either, maybe Giannoutsos Can make a top 15 :-)
Mountain WC doesn't mean there has to be a 25K climb to the finish. There just needs to be some mountain, but we can still discuss on the length and where the finish is to make things more interesting.
Must of course advocate for the Americas for the route especially since South America hasn't seen the championships since 2010. Ecuador, Colombia, and Argentina should all be able to have great Mountain and Hill routes (but I am no stage-maker)
For either Mountain or Hill, would likely prefer a downhill or plateau finish - not that the Turtles are likely to have a single participant.
I went hill because I feel like the German one a few years back was really for the big climbers. I would go for a more benign hilly stage. Agree with others that if we go mountain not a summit finish.
I think hilly, and will hope for a medium mountain WC in the second route vote. Straight up MT leaves little to the imagination when it comes to winners. Hills could be exciting and leads to some cool potential routes.

Just wanted to support this, since it looks like there hasn't been a mountain one in a while, but we did have Herklotz-Lecuisinier-Phinney as a 1-2-4 in 2021. So I think one for the true puncheurs would be nice. But I agree that the route can make a big difference whichever way we go.

If its like this I support a hilly route too. Like arenne classics type hilly but i would prefer also the finish not on "top" and more tight after the downhill section.

A race where a top puncheur, top MO or super hybrid HI/SPR rider can win would be very interesting to watch imo. I don't have either so it's not from bias
