A potential 6 races for PCT at this point at the end of January, 27 race days maximum and two teams indeed were there for 23 of them, while the average was just a bit over 12 rd.
2 HC events in Down Under. While Hello Fresh, Carlsberg and Gjensidige did best in the classic, their performances in the longer tour wasn`t as good.
Instead Amaysim as GC winner take the top here closely followed by Trans Looney Tunes due to their great depth and a trio in the top10.
PTHC in Franceville Classique for the early cobbles with Binance really topping it here with an excellent team performance while also Bralirwa around the winner Stallaert is high up there.
Hong Kong as only C1 was rather disappointing for many top favourites, who gave it a no show.
Red Bull takes the crown here closely ahead of Xero and Gjensidige.
The few C2 participations were decent for Trans Looney and Kraftwerk in Gisborne and in especially Sauber and maybe Lierse in Tachira.

Leading the January rankings with 17rd is Trans Looney Tunes early on. In especially their Tour Down Under performance followed by some smaller scorings here and there did them well.
Binance due to Franceville in especially are 2nd ahead of Amaysim which also started well in their promotion hunt.
Xero and Bralirwa some more teams that are expected to be up there for most of the season.
At the bottom Voyagin just like Cedevita surely had a lot higher expectations but their leaders failed to deliver yet.
Strava struggled early and might have a long season ahead with Project: Africa and Volcanica in a similar scenario.
Indosat next to the earlier mentioned duo also struggled early on with their leaders and surely hope for some redemption in the next races.

Individually the TdU top2 dominating. McCarthy ahead of Houle with Stallaert following due to his PTHC win after a weak TdU.

Overall, I'm happy with the start of the season. Silvestre was mediocre at the DUC, but Uwi in Hong Kong and Stallaert in Franceville made up for that. Starting out in the Top 5 is good, ideally we never leave that range for the rest of the season. Long way to go though.

The good news is that Oomen and Novak still have to start the season, but our pprd is just horrible.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Very happy with the start to the season. The win in Hong Kong was out of the blue as well. Let's stay up

Interesting first ranking update. I definitely didn't expect TLT to come out on top, but as roturn said, their team result especially in TdU was just amazing. I guess they'll need some more such lucky depth results moving on, but it looks like their chances of survival are higher than anticipated.
The rest of the current Top5 were expected to be in that region, maybe with Binance being a bit higher up than predicted.
Cedevita, Voyagin and Indosat all suffer from horrible Hong Kong performances, I hope their lead puncheurs will eventually live up to their stats (as I do hope for mine, btw ^^).
But with that huge RD difference, it's hard to compare some teams; still, points already in the bag are good points.

It's been an okay start to the season I guess. We're not looking great on PpRD, and after an amazing start in DUC, it's gone from mediocre to bad for us. I don't put too much stock in rankings in the first few months, but we definitely missed out on some points we wanted in January.
I have a sinking feeling Trentin's horrendous performance in Franceville might be a death knoll to any promotion chances. I know it's very very early, but races in January matter as much as races in October. PTHC cobbles are huge relative scoring opportunities, so to lose a couple of hundred points on the top teams there really hurts. You expect cobbles kind of sort themselves out over a long season, but hard to imagine guys like Staelaert ever finishing outside the top 60, so that gap has already been made.

232 points in the bag from 8 race days is obviously something to be quite happy with from our side but it is also 8 race days used on Kennaugh. Next big test will be the cobbles season where we will see if the GVK + Daniel duo can elevate this team into a safe PCT position. Thanks for the update!

Campero didn't quite repeat his win, but we again scored good points from our annual trip to Tachira, seems that C2 race is always worth the effort for us.

That's quite a solid start for Amaysim. Don't think Bewley or McCarthy will perform like that in every race they attend, but it's of course a promising start and well used racedays so far.

I'm quite surprised by this leaderboard, I knew that despite having inconsistent results we would be well placed, but I never thought we would be in 2nd place.
This beginning of the season has been full of ups and downs for us, at TDU I expected a good result but still the stage win and the final podium clearly exceeded my expectations. Then came the disaster in Hong Kong where the whole team was on the first stage more than 8 minutes from the leader and of course we left without any point which was completely unexpected for me. We ended this month with Venturini's brilliant surprise in Franceville to put the icing on the cake in what was an almost perfect month for us.

Really not a good start to the season for us but I am hopeful we can score better once Sicard and others start properly racing.

One of the worst months in 8 years of our existence. Borges and Howard deciding to not get involved/compete in the sprints in the TDU and then Dunbar not only screwing up the first stage in Hong Kong like a few others, but then riding a shocking TT and then not caring on the last stage when his clones in Kamba, Conci and Masnada are all at the front riding aggressively is horrible. It sucks as I thought my planning for January was quite good and should have had us close to the top, yet we’re far from even having scored 100 points simply due to being fucked by the games AI. I just hope if we do go down, it’s not due to AI crap like this. Two key races we had a top GC favourite in wasted. Bring on PCM 22.
Thank you for the update.

Well, no need to hit the panic button yet. I was expecting January to be a tough month for us, but the points went in different ways that I was expecting. However the season is long and we didn't pull out the big guns yet. But if AI goes into shenanigans as I saw it did for some managers I am afraid we' re doomed. But now it's not the time to go into such debates. February is another slow month for us, but there are 2 races towards the end of the month where I am hoping we can score and I'm keeping my fingers crossed we score big. For the time being the main thought is if we go down we have to take care of our young core of regional riders and develop them for the future.
Thank you for the update!

Should have been better, was hoping for top now with the calendar, but no disaster. Obviously used a lot of RDs but all of our C2 ones are done where we were never going to score with our eligible riders not good for leading at all, so the huge projection difference is a bit misleading with 10 of the used RDs being those
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

The projected points looks wrong.

Couldn't be more happier with this ranking We will just have to wait how hard the slide will be in the coming months.
