Hampus Anderberg finished fifth in Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. Jansen and Ngandamba finished 10th and 11th in the same race. Grondahl Jansen won GP Herning in Denmark.
As one of the PCT teams, they can save their energy and let the teams of the top favorites do their work.

Assa Abloy brings three possible leaders in Isaac Bolivar, Vegard Breen and Lars Van der Haar.
Breen finished second in Omloop Het Nieuwsblad 2020. They should be aiming for a place in the top-20-30.

Last year, Matteo Trentin finished fourth in Macskako. This year he proved his form with a seventh spot in Omloop Het Nieuwsblad.
The Italian will be eager to compete again for the top spots, with the help of Olli Kulppi and Ramon Sinkeldam. Sinkeldam won this race last year, so plenty of good memories for their return.

Lukasz Wisniowski has already gotten off to a strong start, winning the Strada Appia Antica. Mads Pedersen finished tenth in the same race.
They have a nice support group with also Kosic, Laporte and Ringheim in the mix. Don't be surprised if Grieg-Maersk will take over control of the race.

Tom David was seventh in this year's Viana do Castelo. With better opponents, he seems to be aiming for a top-20 listing.
With Paprstka and Bovenhuis there is decent help to support him in the (pre) final.

Both Florian Senechal and Arman Kamyshev are looking to improve their result from Strada Appia, where they finished 6th and 16th.
Sulimov and Zubov should be able to contribute enough help or even a result on their own.

Great preview, with a lot of detail with all those squads!
Interesting race and a first time for us. I like the profile and the hilly finish should make it a fun race. The finish is probably more suited for Theuns, Gerts, Trentin etc, but Wisniowski has been strong this year, so I hope for another podium in a race with a very strong startlist.

Not all that confident in Stallaert here considering his lackluster hill stat. I'd be happy with a Top 10 and some secondary scoring by Schoonbroodt. Thanks for the nice preview!

PTHC is always a struggle with how stacked the startlists are. Our lack of depth will probably hurt us here more than usual. Regardless, I think we have a solid squad here. Hopefully hill ends up being important, like last year. That would help Trentin push for a top 5, and it would really help Sinkeldam, who won here last year. Obviously back then it was C1 against much less competition, but the race structure hasn't changed. I bet a lot of our team success here will be based on how we deploy Ramon, for better or worse.
Hoping for a top 5, would take a top 10 if Ramon gets ~top 25. Anything less than that is a failure points wise.
Awesome preview Laurens, thank you!

With that profile Gerts should be a podium favorite for sure.

Wow, what an in-depth preview regarding the stats overview! Thank you, Laurens.
Excited to see Hampus here. A top 10 must be the goal, eventhough it's ambitious. First and foremost, it will be great to see him test himself against most of the best cobblers in both the PT and the PCT. Will be fun! |

Go Przemyslaw! This is one of the races that should fit his skillset very well. I hope he can show it!
Thanks Laurens, for a great preview! |

Two wins in the same day? Almost too good to be true
Great to see Gerts finally taking advantage of his much better hill stat when compared to the other cobblers.
I was hoping to see Benoot a bit higher given the profile, but with Gerts winning I have no right to complain

Awesome race! Lot of attacking, teamwork, attrition. And in the end, Gerts wins thanks to his ideal combo of cobble and hill. Congrats to alex!
Love seeing Trentin up there battling with the PT big boys. He was really strong to stay in that front group all the way until the end. Not strong enough to compete for the win, but that's okay, we'll take what we got for sure. Top 5 was the goal, and Matteo did it, better than any other PCT rider. That's exactly what we want to see, and exactly what we need rankings wise.
26th was outside the "goal" for Sinkeldam, but he still scores a bit in a stacked field, and with Trentin getting 5th we didn't really need much from him. He'll always remember his win last year anyhow.
Thanks for another absolutely fantastic report Nemo!

I just see that i completely forgot to comment on the preview which is an absolute shame since it was a fantastic one! Love the team by team overview - especially with you also providing a top 10 favourites overview on top of that! Thanks Laurens!
Race wise, one of the best races of the season for Evonik. Starting with a smart early breakaway appearances by one of our non-cobblers (Crncevic, Williams or Waersted), a midrace attack by Neilands - while i always like to see my team aggressive and try such moves, it wasn't really a good moment to attempt it - , good attempts by Polanc resulting in a very strong 4th place. And brilliant depth results with Budenieks and Hofstetter providing unexpectedly good secondary leader scoring here.
Thanks to Nemolito for another great report. Also aided by the fact that the AI once again showed its best side on the cobbles. Definitely the terrain where the game works the best. e.g. it's great to see how Grieg tries to use the numerical advantage. Really enjoyed it.
Congrats to alex!
Spoiler If you could add full list of riders in the breakaway in future reports, that would be awesome. Kinda spoiled that the breakaway was likely to not play
a big role in this race and i generally like to know which of my riders joined the break
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Disappointing end result by Hampus, no doubt about that. Though, from the point he got dropped, he must have done well to end at 5'05, which is encouraging. Not lucky with AI's priorities for who got to be in a decent position when the pace got higher.
Also positive to see Videika and Jansen get involved. Must say I like how the rest of the team has raced in all cobble classics this season |

I'm very happy with Stallaert as the second best PCT rider in 6th place Considering his hill stat, that's about as good as I could have possibly hoped for. Top notch positioning at every important juncture was key. Disappointed to not have any other rider in the Top 50, the profile would have been ideal for Schoonbroodt, but that's nitpicking. Congrats Alex, perfect race for Gerts and he finished it for you!
As others have mentioned, cobbles AI is really great. And also, as always, great report Nemo, thank you!

Very entertaining race and very happy with how we raced. Would of course had loved to win, but Gerts is a great rider for a finish like that, so no shame losing to him. Congrats on the win, Alex.
Ringheim with another very good race, and Pedersen also with a strong performance. Think he could have stayed with the front group, but cool to see him trying to set up a win. Wisniowski is already close to his points tally last season, while both Pedersen and Ringheim have improved on their scoring from last year already. Must say that I'm really pleased with the cobbles so far, and still some good races left with Chesire, ToNe and Midlands.
Thanks for a great report, Nemolito!

Decent points haul for us given it's PTHC with David doing well and good support from others. Moricz with a good ride in a rare breakaway performance for us.
Thanks for the great report Nemo and congrats to Alex
