Congrats to Azteca, Euskaltel, GCN, Netia and NENT for the secured promotion in the 2019 season! Next year those 5 teams will ride in the PCT with some others still can hope but there is no guarantee yet.
Only change the Zuri Metzgete delivered was the swap of Netia and NENT with former being 4th now.
Also huge run by Azteca really dominating the division on many terrains. Big gap ahead the rest! Very strong season.
Eddie Stobart the only team below 1000 points being last as BNZ made it a good season end to just climb over that markt.

Adriatic being the most successful amateur team with couple teams doing well behind such as La Vie Claire or Signal Iduna.
At the bottom Rostrum but also Fox, VIP and Jayco clearly with suboptimal seasons.
Standout races for the amateurs clearly had been Catalunya, Tropicala Amissa Bongo, Frankfurt Eschborn, Cyprus,, Jelajah, Coppa Placci where they proved to really being able to challenge the pros.

Congrats to Holloway for taking the CT crown as best rider followed by the Azteca dup Eastman and Esteban Chaves. All three immediately are probably good to go against stronger teams as their quality is good enough.
Similar to Pinot as best of the rest and Kwiatkowski or Faiers, who is one of the bigger surprises.
That said, Holloway is the only of those top6 not being in a promoted team showing how much he single handed carried the team, which actually was prettly low in the rankings.
Hoelgaard had a breakout season as well while Nibali in his maybe last big season showed all his skills again for Euskaltel helping them to promote back into the PCT before Keough as 2nd best sprinter and 3rd Azteca rider shows the domination by the team.
Moser to complete the top10 for Euskaltel again.
Kasperkiewicz being the best cobbler in 12th ahead of Maes just one spot behind. Intxausti in 14th really struggled a bit more than expected just like Mohs in 18th or Costa in 19. Clearly an issue with too strong riders and limited race days.
Guillen in 21st is impressive seeing, he did not find a team in regular transfers at first.

Congrats all promoting teams!
Good to see Holloway finding his mojo again in the CT, I always felt he was such an underperformer in the PCT.
Fox News was a complete disaster, points for realism!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Congrats to all that promoted.
Lovely stuff by the DT team, was much more fun than the main team. Boev and Mygind the MVPs, surely worth of CT contracts next year! Very happy with the Adriatic Kontinentalna Selekcija!

Even with better Intxausti planning we wouldnt have mustered 400 extra points, so we probably only missed out on 6th by a smidgin, but a good season, better than Adastra and Phillips so its a complete victory for us

Congratulations Kentaurus, Azteca bossing the division! Good to see you and all the other promotions in the PCT division next season! For the other teams, chin up, it took me three attempts to get promoted with squads far worse than some of you right now

All of this chest beating for 7th when only the Top 5 are gaining promotion? And taking the piss on two teams as if I and AbhishekLFC have done something bad to you?

Thanks for the final update and congrats to the winners.
Since we never had any expectation of being competitive I am very happy with 14th and thrilled that Holloway could bring us such great results and a perfect record on our season goals.
It is a pity the Man Game is switching to a version that values his dominant secondary stats so late in his career. I think he would have been outstanding in the PCT this year since he was 1st, 2nd and 4th in his 3 C1 stage races while winning 4 stages in like 15 race days.
The only downside is that it he was so much more effective than I expected it means we will probably finish worse next year.

A gutsy ride by Thièry finally secured 15th place for us - our minimum goal of the season. The main issue with our team can easily be found: except for draft pick Guillén, we didn't have a leader, as can be seen in the individual points list. Sure, we had a very young team, but the likes of Signorini or Pellaud were simply underwhelming. I guess for the former it's a bad thing that PCM 18 values secondary stats more, whereas the latter was clearly among many other puncheurs victim to their lousy mountain stat.
Well, that's some points to be taken into consideration for the transfer season. Let's see if we can somehow get a decent leader on any terrain...
Congrats to Kent for dominating this CT season, and to all other promoting teams.

Massive season for us that always should have been. Coming down with a loaded squad on every terrain, obviously the power of Eastman, Chaves and surprisingly Keough gave us great results over the mountains, hills, and flats. But we also got solid contributions from our cobbles trio of Orue, Richardson and Corwin.
This was a plan 2 years in the making with the recruitment of some young riders, who have now started to come through and make this team really fill out nicely.
Congrats to Euskaltel, GCN, Netia and Nent who will also be going up with me, we have a lot of work to do rebuilding the rosters to survive the PCT level.

I'm pretty sure you can do back-to-back promotion if you keep your core and improve around it. Wish you all the best in PCT.

Just wow! That is all I can say! The highest position we have ever achieved and it was amazing team performance all round I feel. Promotion this time around feels so much better than going up via disbands and I'm so happy with how this season has gone. " more goal ticked off as well which I think has been my best return this season as well (3/5)
Well done to all those promoting - Azteca though... You were just a force to be reckoned with all season and the number of riders up there in the standings show that.
Question for the MG historians - The number of the points scored in total by McCormack and the number of points scored by Holloway. Is that the most one sided points scoring ever? 76.5% of their point were due to Holloway...

I can`t remember any higher rate at least but only have checked the last 3-4 seasons now.
On a quick check for high numbers. There might be higher ones.
CT: 76 % Holloway for Glanbia
PCT: 65 % Pluchkin for Popo4ever
CT: 63 % Travis Meyer for Eddie Stobart
CT: 54 % Yatsevich for Spark
PCT: 53 % Pluchkin for Popo4ever
CT: 53 % Tvetcov for cycleYorkshire
PCT: 49 % Kinoshita for Meiji
PCT: 49 % Lo Cicero for Valio
PCT: 49 % Barguil for Ticos |

Can't say the CT division was as exciting as last year, with the top 5 teams streets ahead of everyone else, so congrats to all the promoted teams. Happy to see GCN in PCT next season
Both Zalgiris and Adastra have clearly improved so it will be intersting to see if they can take the next step next season. I love Holloway winning the individual crown for his home team, although he stole tons of points from the PCT
Also a word on Swisslion alumni Guillen. I know Centovalli were nowhere near the top, but they took full advantage of the 1st draft pick with Guillen. Great to see him be the star of his team in what could be his last season.
As for the amateurs. We weren't great but we developed some riders, got a stage win from Brenton Jones and didn't finish last in the ranking. I'll take it
