Wow does the Tour of San Juan normally have this many crashes, they're even crashing in the breakaway now!

A spectator on day 1 and a dog on stage 2 in the break caused the crashes.
Reminds me to open a "Other Races" thread for the season. |

A place to discuss all kind of race related stuff for events that don`t get an own thread.
Time to start some cycling discussion with San Juan being up at the moment and the Aussie classics and Mallorca soon start.
To start with some discussion.
Alaphilippe had to abandon from San Juan with stomach problems. So leadership is decided towards Evenepoel there now without a real contest. |

Looks like my post was worthwhile, as it's now reminded you to open up a more important thread.

In that case..
"Oh, glad to see Gaviria take a win, I'm pretty sure I selected him for my fantasy season"
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Provisional start list for Race Torquay is impressive for a 1.1 categorized race.

Indeed it is.
Perfectly scheduled between two WT races and in preperation season far off the Euro training camps which makes team switches difficult.
I am missing Greipel on there at the moment. Think he wasn`t supposed to race those but after the form in the TdU they decided, he will also race the two Aussie classics. So will be another one to watch. |

1'08'' separating first and third at Vuelta a San Juan.
There are also 23 years separating them

Also, Evenepoel (20) and Ganna (23) combined have Oscar Sevilla’s age (43). |

Was Ganna in the break today or he really arrived with best climbers?

Apparently there were echelons with 40k to go and Evenepoel caught on the wrong side of it

Just San Juan I guess.
Same climb he was 6th already 2 years ago and 2nd in GC. |

He usually targets track WC in February hence flying at this time of year. Plus huge engine, and the climb is very shallow, big gear all along.

Great win for Devenyns, he's one of those underrated domestiques every team wants to have.

Pogi starts his season with a victory on an uphill finish over Alejandro Valverde and Dylan Teuns at the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana
