Hi,
Some might know me from my earlier work as an (okay) shirtmaker a few years ago. I haven't played PCM since around 2014 but I heard some good things about the newest version and have been enjoying it. Also decided to try my hand at making stages. Not claiming I'm very good yet but it's a start.

Any tips, tricks, advice, criticism is more than welcome. I'm currently working on the Ronde van Drenthe 2019 but having a bit of trouble with cities.

I haven't tried these yet, but without even looking I can give you an advide to have a look at the zcts-files from Leon40.
You can learn a lot from how stages should be made if one got time and effort to go all out.
Illince isn't far behind either in creating some superb stages. Many more create superb stages and those are the best teachers.
One can never go wrong watching and learning from others.
That's why zcts-files are so important to be included in stages that are posted.

Not sure what will come next, I might do another slightly different variant of the Tour of Slovenia with the same zcts (because this is the first 5 stage version that's been made), or either the Tour of Hungary or the ZLM Tour, unless someone has a better idea.

If you really want help, a good alternative is also to look at other stagemakers screenshots, and if / when you see something you do not know how to create, ask them.
Easier that analysing zcts, something that is quite boring and often hard to decipher.
Most people want to help if you know what you are looking for.

Made the 2019 Tour of Luxembourg using the zcts of grebeire & togo (i think). Most of the work was already done, I just edited a few roads in and did the route.

@tamijo, have asked il lince for a few things and he's been helpful so far. It's more a question of creativity for me when it comes to building cities. I feel like the rest is pretty decent, though nowhere near the level of some of the greats yet). I also feel like it's important to at least finish a few things before worrying too much about the details. You can't do that without knowing basic things.

Absolutely fine to just get going, was no criticism intended from my side.
Not too many active stage makes left very nice to see the upcoming stars in the making.

The Nürburgring is a classic F1 track, but it is also famous for a couple of cycling World Championships. And now it will be playable for PCM!

Hi, it's been a while, I didn't have much time, but I have been working on a zcts for the 'Zuid-Limburg' region in the Netherlands (where the Amstel Gold Race is usually ridden). I spent a lot of time there as a kid and the original route has some mistakes that annoy me. So this is the first of multiple downloads that will be coming. This features 5 Amstel Gold Race variants, later there will be some Dutch national championships variants and maybe a few world championships.
Amstel Gold Race Variant 1 - Heerlen-Maastricht
This is the initial idea I had for a variant. The finish in Maastricht, though with a different final than the historic one that finished in the capital of Limburg. The final is opened by the Keutenberg 45 kilometres from the finish, followed in quick succession by 7 of the most famous short climbs in the area. The last 8 kilometers are flat towards the finish along the Meuse in Maastricht, giving the sprinters a chance, if they survive the climbs, that is.
Amstel Gold Race Variant 2 - Maastricht-Vaals
The second variant has its finish at the highest point of the Netherlands, on the Vaalserberg in Vaals. Incidentally it's also the point where the borders of the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany meet. The final starts with the shorter hills around Valkenburg, and ends with the climb of the Camerig, the hardest climb in the Netherlands, and the Vaalserberg in the final 10 kilometres. The longer climbs at the end ensure that a very good climber will win the race.
Amstel Gold Race Variant 3 - Maastricht-Valkenburg
This is my take on the traditional final that was ridden in the 2000's, with the finish on the Cauberg.
Amstel Gold Race Variant 4 - Maastricht-Landgraaf
The fourth variant has a less traditional final, with a finish on the terrain where music festival Pinkpop is held every year, and there has also been a national championship held there. It's 13 kilometres from the top of the final Hulsberg climb to the finish. The final also features some slight rises in the town of Heerlen but there's nothing that can be called a climb.
Amstel Gold Race Variant 5 - Maastricht-Maastricht (1999 route)
This is the 1999 race route, with the final mostly taking place in Belgium instead of the Netherlands. The decisive points in the race are the Hallembaye climb 17km from the line, and the St. Pietersberg in the final 5km.
