Well, it's happening...
Be sure to use the official PCM.daily Wishlist, AI Behaviour and Bugs to discuss what you want fixed/changed/to be added to the upcoming edition - it seemed last year like Cyanide do care about the actual gameplay and AI, and in the past they have responded or taken onboard some complaints/wishes.
Keep an eye out for beta testing notices if you are interested in a hands-on involvement in that process (you can at least try), and I guess use this thread for news and general discussion on the new features as Cyanide launch the game over the coming four months. This is (very optimistically)promising from a marketing perspective as such a tweet hasn't come out in the few years I can remember.

expect another disapoint game,unfortunely. cyanide dont look able to turn the things around and deliver a good game like 2011 at least. hope i get surprised. only ask for a competent IA and gameplay. nothing else matter to me, honestly |

The closed beta is - paradoxically - open! Make sure if you're interested you register and can help cyanide improve the game - as I really think they will want to

Is it possible to have the training go to Rest during injury period? I always do it manually but have to keep an eye out for the end of the injury. I love the reality of a failed season due to injury. Working my way back to top condition after my rider's neck was broken. |

I fear the game is dead. There have been no news 1 1/2 months prior to its intended release. That's never a good sign. No screenshots whatosever, no dev diary, the forum is vacated (I know Bigben bought Cyanide, but there is no forum to be found) |

several things:
1) it is not normal that I can keep riders form at 98% all the year just by doing a program 100-100-100-0-100-100-100-0 and so on, I think the old system was better.
2) The in game season planner had an huge improvment this year I suggest to improve more the planner because the season planning still frustrating me. I remember the lachi's planner the best planner of ever but unfortunately he dont work on it anymore
3) Baroudeur stat need to be activate for human, maybe something like in 2006 when the Baroudeur stat affected the probability to have a red bar lighting... actually the training Baroudeur make us waste points on this unusefull stat.
4) it is strange that for a MON 85 and HIL 65 his speed drop when he pass from effort 85 to effort 99, btw on this point we need to pay attention because it risk to unbalance the gameplay who is pretty good now. So if you can change this strange effect without comprise the gameplay it will be good

And who is it, that mo 85 hi 65 rider ?
If we know who he is we can better judge if it is realistic.
In the DB im using, no rider with MO>80 has HI<76
Find it hard to imagine a riders type able to climb at >80 but with no punch at all.
Agree with everything else you said, especially the form is a huge issue, should be much harder to peak above 90%

Hi Tamijo, there are not riders with those values, I just did a test on PCM gameplay. You can read my result here:

shortly: one of my test shows that if u have a rider with MON 85 and HILL 65 or 60 or less the speed of this rider with effort 85 is higher than the speed with effort 99, because at 85 effort only MON stat matter and at 99 effort only HIL stat matter.
you can read details on the thread i posted.
it is just a non sense because more effort should always be more speed.btw if this is a little price to pay to have a good gameplay I agree!! i thinbk the pcm gameplay is fine and this effort MON/HIL system is good

It seems like the exact same game.
The revamped User Interface seems like a complete joke. They put in a couple of new pictograms for the menus but the structure and the ui itself are the same. We now have 4 periods instead of 3, which is a plus I guess.
The changed 2 little details for in-race menus: the stage profile is in green which looks nicer but now you can't see the steepness of the climbs anymore. Also, the rider's bars are now on the top and at the bottom which is totally useless and wasted space. The attributes numbers don't seem to colored anymore (in race) which is a huge step back.
Really, that is it? The game is due to be released in a month and the entire communication happens over steam screenshots for the product (the screenshots are also more than lackluster). The changes we could see so far could have been made within a week of time, the screenshots were taken in minutes.
I guess even without any expectations, this game is going to be one huge disappointment. |

And this guys, is the real reason why in this world we need competitiveness, this game is the same busllhit since 8 years and evary year increase sales.
Theren't other cycling game, and...why they should improve if reach goals without invest more time. By your pretty face? Think it, we need other cycling game. |

There is also just one real football manager game, Paradox games are one of it's kind and they all improve, sometimes significantly, over the years.
Cyanide is to blame for this. They invested 2 weeks maximum towards improvements. Just look at the databases. They contain stuff that was cut out off they game years ago. They don't care about this game. They work on it for a couple of weeks a year but always sell it for the full price. The changes this year are beyond laughable. If they sold this game for 10€, I would be ok with it, but charging the full price for marginal changes is just brazen. |

Quick question, I had seen the release of the game was due for the begining of July, a week later, but just checked and said 28th June on steam. Can anyone confirm if it's June again or a lapse?

It is called 'planned release' so pretty sure its the 4th. And whenever there is two dates in these circumstances, we all know the later is more likely.

well, steam was at one point also referring to July 4th, shortly after they announced the delay. But two days later, the date was again updated to June 27th.
It's possible that only the console edition is delayed and that the PC release will still be June 27th |
