3 days only and lower impact of the TT due to a short length of 7,9km. So the division`s top climbers are more or less all on Corsica for the traditional stage race.
Last two winners are yet again at the start, though are beyond their prime and should struggle to repeat this as Brajkovic and Pozzovivo have tough competition here. First though still has a strong kick and might defend his title.
The big stars though are others. Amador after winning in Eritrea and Machado, 2016 winner in Tachira. So both showed their strength and must be watched.
Then also Úran has shown his skills already with the win in Catalunya as also Rujano in the recent Kandy Classic.
Other riders to definitely have the skills to win are Contador, Monsalve, Berhane along some others. Those had not the very best season so far still looking for their big performance.
| Mo | TT | | Mo | TT | Machado | 84 | 74 | Brenes | 79 | 69 | Amador | 84 | 78 | Pozzovivo | 79 | 71 | Úran | 82 | 78 | Anacona | 79 | 66 | Berhane | 81 | 65 | Chamorro | 78 | 64 | Contador | 81 | 73 | Ablenado | 78 | 72 | Monsalve | 81 | 72 | Signorini | 78 | 65 | Rujano | 80 | 69 | Fothen | 78 | 74 | Nazaret | 80 | 65 | Vinhas | 78 | 62 | Shikai | 80 | 76 | Lövkvist | 78 | 73 | Brajkovic | 80 | 77 | Meintjes | 78 | 69 | Marquez | 80 | 70 | Stetina | 78 | 64 | Kiserlovski | 80 | 72 | Teklehaimanot | 77 | 74 | Ratiy | 80 | 74 | Roglič | 77 | 72 | Eastman | 80 | 74 | Hiratsuka | 77 | 63 | Valls | 79 | 72 | Cort Nielsen | 77 | 72 |
With one sprint and time trial stage each, the field is high class in those as well. So here a quick look of the favourites:
| Sprint | Acc | | TT | Prl | Avelino | 83 | 78 | Cornu | 81 | 81 | Itami | 80 | 82 | Schädlich | 80 | 80 | Lavoine | 80 | 78 | Paillot | 80 | 80 | Bouhanni | 80 | 77 | Gonzalez Salas | 80 | 80 | Castañeda | 80 | 79 | Dillier | 80 | 79 | Porsev | 79 | 80 | Van Winden | 80 | 80 | Aberasturi | 79 | 78 | Kwok | 79 | 79 | Richeze | 79 | 77 | Viviani | 79 | 79 | Pelucchi | 79 | 77 | Bialoblocki | 79 | 75 | Lay | 79 | 81 | Brändle | 79 | 79 | Peeters | 79 | 77 | Haugard | 79 | 79 | Sonnery | 78 | 73 | Reus | 79 | 79 | Keough | 78 | 75 | Amador | 78 | 77 | Andriato | 78 | 76 | Dumoulin | 78 | 78 | | | | Janse van Rensburg | 78 | 78 | | | | Goncalves | 78 | 66 | | | | Nascimento | 78 | 62 | | | | Úran | 78 | 78 |

If Rujano performs again... We might save ourselves. |

Time to shine, Contador. With just the one mountain stage the odds of a GC podium go up for him, compared to longer stage races. All about form where it matters: on stage 3. Feeling good for it!

After some pleasent results recently, this race will be a disappointment again. With this strong competition, Kiserlovski will probably struggle to top 30. |

Hoping for a strong TT by Brajko and then a surprise in the mountains. Top-10 the absolute minimum here in the GC. Maybe Pozdnyakov could even stunt in the sprint stage

You know the drill, here because of the dam band. I have Van Winden Viviani and Theuns though so go guys let's grab a stage win and turn our luck around instantly!

We should score decently here, Itami on the flat, Kwok on the TT and Shikai for the mountain and GC. Thats the plan anyway

Hoping for Cornu to win the TT, Bouhanni to get a result on the flat stage and Valls to get something from the mountain stage and GC.

This one should be fun. It's hard to call due to how short it is (as proved by the Kandy Classic), but Amador should at the very least podium and he has a good shot at the win. Uran and Machado should be in contention for the win as well. It's a goal though and I sent my best squad so I've got my fingers crossed.
The TT field here is very strong as well, and Dillier will struggle to be in contention. Either way, thank you for the race and I'm looking forward to it!

Oh shit what a lineup. Amador should win comfortably I think, but it will most likely come down to daily form.

Would be cool to see Pozzovivo showing himself somehow.
