PCM.daily Projects WT Stat Discussion
haasje33
Here's a thread to discuss the stats for the PCM.daily Projects for PCM16.

Everything written down here will be considered for the next release.

Keep in mind that topstats are the most noticeable stats, but those are most often a matter of opinion. I advice people to change some of those stats to their own likings if you don't agree to the stats in our projects.

For us it'd be much more useful to especially discuss stats about smaller riders, those are often easier to miss.

Important addition

As of last year, we decided to add some rules, because of some conflicts in the stat discussion that got out of hand.

1. If you comment on someone's post, comment on the contents of the post, not on the person!
2. Don't make fun of suggestions of other members. Everyone can post their suggestions. It's up to our statmakers to decide what to do with them.
3. Keep your posts strictly on-topic.

Any posts that violate these rules will be deleted immediately.

The stats google document (has got all the most updated stats)

The latest .cdbs have been attached to this post.

Another thing i look, Yauheni Hutarovich with 68hills, isnt too much for him?
He is older and dont have capacity to still manage to drop some hills, i think that 68 seems too higher for his recent results, a 64hill be nice, with 68 he have a great advantage in relation to other sprints that climb the hills much better than him, Sam Bennet has 68 for example, and now on Dauphiné in the stage aru win he dropp the hill with the favourites, Hutarovich will be dropped Smile

Also 66Mountain for Ledanois is too much, is more a puncheur, 62 seems fine and too end the backups of Loubet are especially low, he isnt have a good year but in 2015 he was very good and need a upgrade on backup, is especially an attacker and with 63res he will not manage to win with some breaks or late attacks

Sorry for my bad english

Where are we on Richeze? Looks like he's having a second youth over at Etixx. A small increase in order?

Jorge Made changes to those riders but not as low as you suggested though.

Ian Richeze is now 76 flat and 76 in both sprint and acc which makes him a powerful leadout rider that can win sprints himself when the chance comes by.

Tafiolmo i only do this changes:

Hutarovich 64Hills- Seems that he do not have results on sprints or stages that have hills
Ledanois 62MO- Isnt too good in the mountain, he didnt have results on the mountain but in hills
Loubet- Updated Backups i think put 67End/Res with 65Rec, Loubet is a fighter and need better backups, with small backups he will not manage to attack on the decisive moments of the classics or only manage to win from a breakway

Geslin-bouygues
I agree for Loubet 67End/Res with 66Rec Wink

I think that Edvald Boasson hagen should be increased on mountain to atleast 70 or more. Example was last stage of dauhphine where he hung on for a long time with the favorite group. Also on cobblestone and sprint, as he is a really good cobbleed-rider, example Paris-roubaix and i also think that his sprint is underestimated, as for example, 4th on champs ellysais in 2015, beating the likes of cav and sagan

There are 13 stats in PCM 16. EBH has got higher backup stats than any single stage racer in the range between 70 and 72, except Sagan; result of this is that he will overperform massively. His sprint is not underrated, he has got a higher recovery than other sprinters that will make him better in the 3rd week. His cobbles are fine as they are, he has got very high backup stats just like Sagan that will make his cobble feel 1 point higher.

Are you going to continue doing stats updates for PCM15 or now only for PCM16???

Yes BUT what about that climbing in Tour de Suisse. A sprinter in a breakaway, then kept on going while so many true climbers cracked on the 6th stage.
OK he isn't a climber but having mtn=60 and hills=65 might be a tiny bit to low.

He should be able to do some sort of sprint on an uphill stage, but surely not with these stats, OR am I wrong again ??

Perhaps a little thought on it could be good.

(OK it might be that odd one occasion I understand)

Robotobot I don't ever remember a PCM DB over rthe last few years where EBH has had 70 mtn or less and he's currently at 72. It's always risky though giving a rider like EBH a higher mtn than this, because with his high overall stats he could easily start finishing highly in the overall in GT's, which I know has happened with Sagan a similar rider in terms of the style of his stats.

Clamel That post of mine was just before his mtn stage but obviously his climbing stats are way too low and will be 68 mtn and 67 hill with improved RES as well, as this could of course just be a one off performance. If he does this type of thing again then he'll go higher.

I doubt we are going to release anything else for PCM 15 at the moment, Daily has never done that.

I think Porte and TVG should both be at 80 mountain, I don't think Porte has earned the 81, he seems to be in better form at the moment but until Porte proves differently at the tour I think they are both 80

Selwink
Uhh, we have them both at 80MO in the V2

Remember the PCM Daily DB stats are quite different to the official release and we work on a lower top end and higher lower end stat matrix than the official one.

In ours both Porte and TVG are 80 mtn even though Porte at times looks like an 81 but Porte being Porte always has a bad day so far to stop that. TVG for me is too delicate to win a GT and gets ill over three weeks.

The Tour of course will reveal all with these two BMC leaders.

Sorry if this is off-topic, but when did the last update for PCM 15 come out and where can I download it?

On topic: Bouwman deserves an upgrade imo, doing very well this season as a first year pro. Also Groenewegen possibly?

The latest update came out on 02/06, but you need the previous ones too, if you don't have them already.

I think Alaphilippe deserves higher SPR

Has already been upgraded to 73 making him the best Ardennes sprinter along with Gerrans. He might even deserve higher than this but best to wait to see if he can continue to sprint impressively
