Which riders do you think are overrated and which riders do you think are underrated?
In my opinion Demare is overrated.He is just not that good and gets hyped up. Bouhanni is better in my opinion. |

Prepare for lots of opinions coming in...this is a very subjective matter. Just check the Stat Discussion thread(s).
Démare has talent, that's for sure. His 2015 season was dissapointing, though. |

I think anyone who thinks he finds any rider is overrated or underrated he should write here.And I am interested in people's opinions.Demare should go for Giro and Vuelta in my opinion. |

Moreno Moser, Tom Slagter, Rigo Uran, Sergio Henao, Hienrich Haussler, Jelle Vanendert, The Izagirres, The Yates brothers, Swift, Thomas and of course Wilco Keldermann all come to mind for me.
Guys who have had good seasons but don't really win much and I don't see winning much this year and beyond.

Demare had a great start with the pro's and that's why expectations were / are so high. IMO Bouhanni is a better sprinter than Demare, but Demare also has stated he'd like to see what he's capable of in the spring classics. (23rd @ RVV and 37th @ PR btw.) |

Overrated: Terpstra, Cancellara, Kittel, Majka, Mollema, Swift, Nizzolo, Devolder
Underrated: Roelandts, Kreuziger, Ruben Plaza, Kangert, Grivko, Bennati, Pozzato
Forgot Cunego who is ofcourse incredibly underrated. His whole career

Overrated: Kristoff, Nibali, Wiggins, Formolo, Aru, Cancellara, Bouhanni, Degenkolb(sadly), Tony Martin(even more sadly)
Underrated: Gaviria, Ewan, Boonen, Stybar, Tony Martin, Terpstra kinda as well...

Asleigh Moolman is one of the most underated riders on the womens circuit. Conversly to Rosella Ratto who got very overrated off the back of a good Worlds Race and an attacking nature (though i am expecting her to prove me wrong now she's switched to a good team)

I know. I remember he would get super low mountain stats in dbs, like 73-75 sometimes, and he was consistently a Top 10 GC guy up until 2012 or 13 I think.

I would agree that Valverde is overrated in the overall discussion even if he have some results in the Vuelta he always been a bit weak compared to his opponents in the Tour.
For the underrated riders i'd say Tony Martin, for me is one of the best cyclists ever but due to the lack of ambitions too specialize in any type of races besides the TT's he never shown his potential. Really happy that he will focus on the cobbles this year, i really think he could be better than Cancellara and Boonen if he had ambitions for it in a early age.

Overrated: Kelderman, Majka, Vanendert and Talansky.
Underrated: Zeits, Impey, Gerrans, Quinziato, Guarnieri and Haller.
Edit: Scarponi is also underrated. |

Overrated: Ewan, Gaviria, Benoot and basically any other youngster who has won few shit races and stages and suddenly is seen as world beater, while they lack both experience and results on biggest scene. Of course they can become ones, but they are not, yet.
Also Valverde, but that is hard case, he is overrated as a winner.
Underrated: everybody i like the most and does not get enough praise from others.
This is very subjective obviously, as i can see guys being in both lists from different posters...
