Well then somebody should lock the news thread from last month, I started it around the same time....

Casmo is back. I love his Anacona narrative, that was really a fantastic performance. I didnt notice he attacked like 4 times on Croix de Fer, he really came through in the last week, also pretty close to win stage 18 (the one Bardet won). Hoping to see alotta more from him. Never seen such a stonefacey guy in interviews, even more than Nairo at the big passes |

Danielson tested positive for Synthetic Testosterone.
So, Vaughters eh... how about that.

It does seem odd for him to be caught with that after testifying to USADA but on the other hand I can't say I'd be surprised if he did.

Well he has applied to have his B Sample tested, so I guess we'll have to wait for that before crucifying anyone.
For stuff that is supposed to be able to be used in sport you'd be surprised how often protein supplements and the like end up contaminated. Would need to reinvestigate the known cases to see if synthetic testosterone was ever involved but with the money involved in the supplement industry and the pursuit of building muscle sometimes anything goes to get an edge over your competitors.

Can't be true. He stopped doping in '07.

That really hasn't been the case in cycling though:

A link to Danielson's 2012 USADA affadivit. Quite interesting reading.
https://d3epuodzu3...idavit.pdf
"l wanted to go to a team that was actively anti-doping, and where l knew l would be comfortable completing clean".
Lets hope Danielson is the only person (if the B sample is positive) to be doping at Cannondale-Garmin. |

I really hope Tom didn't take anything purposedly and will be cleared soon (not that I'm sure of that- I'm certainly not). Nonetheless, it sucks for me that he won't ride Utah. And this news may well be the sad end of his career. He expressed the will to continue with the team for 2016, but the whole thing won't help him in negotiations even if he would turn out not to be guilty. |

Off course he is doped, as was he in 2011. This news actually dont surprise me at all.
From twitter: Danielson positive right before the only race he seems to do well in? I'm shocked.
Lulz.
