Hope FDJ to do well! They did a good job in both romandie and giro so maybe they can improve and get a top 5 finish. |

Vino 4 Ever should be able to take this one.

BMC should take this with the squad they have, TVG is in form as is Dennis with a good supporting cast. I think Movistar have brought a good squad for this but with Dowsett's injuries does weaken them somewhat, Sky, Saxo and Astana should all finish top 5

Tejay will be in yellow by tonight I feel, but Froome will probably be a few seconds behind not too unhappy. Movistar to win though. |

The one thing that is funny is the race profile, they really have played up the hills on the profile when really there is only one climb being the final one.

Just how many riders have Orica got left?

Been away for a few days so trying to catch up on what's been happening, luckily it was mostly flat stages (although will miss almost all of next week where things will happen ) Slightly surprised that so few people have abandoned given the crashfest that I had predicted but I guess everyone's trying very hard to hang on until after the TTT so there will probably be a few abandons after today. Am I allowed to complain even more vociferously about this stupid stage now?
I hate TTTs in any situation but I might actually watch the stage today, a) because its one of the few stages I will be able to catch live this Tour and b) for the lulz to see Orica trying to get Svein Tuft to climb a hill at speed. I know the profile exaggerates the hills greatly but still it is a very lumpy parcours for a TTT and so I think the gaps will be very big, especially given the numerical disadvantage some teams will suffer from. Hopefully Dowsett's injury doesn't handicap Movistar too badly and Quintana can maintain or even close the gap to his rivals. After the first week concludes today it will plain sailing

Movistar wins today, have called it since the teams were revealed. BMC and Sky looks extremely strong tho - hope Dowsy has recovered, he is a good engine, especially since the hills (apart from the last one) seems way too exaggerated. The 3 NC, Valv and Quinco should be able to carry this - would be fine with top-3, but hoping Q can stop the bleeding a bit to Froome, maybe gain a few seconds.
Saxo will surely struggle a bit I feel. Not a good squad for this ITT - Sagan will have to carry, Rogers is way past his prime ITT-wise, Kreuz as well, while Contador doesnt seem that strong - yet. |

It seems that it's quite likely to rain during the stage.

Any idea if this goes for the whole stage or only at particular times?
