With Cyanide having fixed many of the major bugs with online gameplay this seems like as good a time as ever to start re-building hype for the early summer major online competitions.
Yes this is almost an exact adaptation of the event run by doddy13 in 2012, that was a good event (apparently, just before my time as an official member). So in my capacity as Admin in charge of Online Competitions i'm bringing it back!
Races
1) Milan - San Remo
2) Ronde van Vlaanderen
3) Paris - Roubaix
4) AGR or FW [tbc]
5) Liege - Bastogne - Liege
Dates
To Be Confirmed, targeting 15th-17th April..... (most likely three nights of 2/2/1 races on something like a Wednesday/Thursday/Friday, to be discussed)
Database
An as yet un-released Ladder DB, real names and jerseys of course
Rules
- Dates: 15th, 16th, 17th April [tbc]
- Start Time: 7pm BST/CET [tbc]
- Played only at x1 speed
- Make sure to export/screenshot all/as many results as possible
- Don't be a knob
Scoring
- The Top3 riders from each team are the "scoring riders"
- Their finishing positions will be added up to give the score
- After the 5 events the player with the lowest score wins
- If a player misses a race they will get the highest score added

This sounds like fun. Will we race using real teams or something else?, because using the Armada mode I can't understand how.

Available Times: Pretty much any time should work except the middle of the night if we use the targeted days.
I have my spring break next week, so that would kind of be perfect timing. Usually I'm much more restricted.
I loved the competition in 2012, so I hope this lives up to it.

Update with some basic rules and scoring. This is just a nice friendly event so i didn't go nuts on the rules, just the basics.
Provisional dates are the 15th, 16th and 17th (Wednesday-Friday next week). I don't forsee this changing looking at what you guys have already said.
My thoughts on time is to start at 7pm BST/CET (which is the same time in the UK and most of Europe) but this might move to 8pm to catch more people if those people register interest here.
Scoring is very simple. Your top3 placing riders add up to give your score. Lowest score wins! (might change to top2 riders depending on db used)
Rules
- Dates: 15th, 16th, 17th April [tbc]
- Start Time: 7pm BST/CET [tbc]
- Played only at x1 speed
- Make sure to export/screenshot all/as many results as possible
- Don't be a knob
Scoring
- The Top3 riders from each team are the "scoring riders"
- Their finishing positions will be added up to give the score
- After the 5 events the player with the lowest score wins
- If a player misses a race they will be given the highest score

BST and CET are different by an hour. Which 7pm is it that you're planning for?

With those dates I am definitely in for the 16th and 17th.
With the 15th it depends a lot about the exact time as I have soccer practice there.
But in worst case I might miss shitty Milan San Remo then. Never was any good in this race anyway. |

How do you do that with PCM online? and will teams be randomly given out? |

Ladder db means that all the stats will be the same, for all riders. There won't be anything that will advantage a single player on another. Also, the process is quite easy: the players will just need to have the same db selected and you can play
