There's been a lot of discussions for the last two weeks between myself and various managers, and behind the scenes in general, about the future of a number of teams in the game.
Some teams have now been disbanded, while a number of teams have had warnings that a lack of significant improvement will see their team disband at the end of the season. Some teams have only just survived - and in some cases they have only done so due to contributions that have made towards the running of the game in past seasons.
This, in addition to some teams going inactive during the past season, has led to many more teams gaining promotion than should usually be the case. (Although some teams did turn down the chance to gain a division).
The decision was also taken to revoke the relegation of Boeing, Mobil and Project Africa. This was in part due to the amount of promotions already happening from CT, in part to make sure that there would not be a big gulf in the CT between those teams and everyone else, and perhaps most significantly due to the great activity and contributions that all 3 teams make to the game.
Here are the teams that will now be found in each division. 2014 name is on the left, while 2015 name - if confirmed - is on the right. (We've gotta start learning the new names now, after all!) Teams are ordered by 2014 finishing position.

Below is the list of teams who have therefore disbanded. Most of them made great contributions to the game while they were part of it, and I am very thankful for that. Those teams who were forced to disband have accepted the reasons, and are very welcome to re-apply in future. I didn't like having to disband some teams, but the decisions were made for the good of the game.

Happy to get another season. There seems to be an error in the list though. Unless In-n-out merges with Nutresa of course

One thing I have noticed is that the people does not seem to learn from the experience of choosing big names ... Each time the names are bigger

We wave a fond farewell to those who have made way for the new crop; maybe some time away will see some of them return in the future with renewed enthusiasm!
Completely agree that the 3 'saved' teams in PCT makes sense from the perspective of rewarding participation, and just as importantly to avoid over-powering the new crop in CT; does change some transfer ideas I had in my head around though! So congrats to TMM, Aidan and Miguel, and additional 'surprise' promotees both into PT and PCT. Away to try and get my head round all that this means for 2015 season!

I'm really happy to see my fellow mid-table opponents Meiji and Metinvest make it after all, and props to Gazelle for declining promotion although that means harder competition for us.
(also good that we weren't in contention because I would've had to decline too)
Obviously, it's sad to see some household names leave the game, but it should be for the better in the long run. Thanks for everything you guys brought to the game.
Now with 3 PT teams relegating plus Gazelle and Puma staying as the best PCT teams...do we even need to actually play through the season?

Wow, a sad day to see some teams who were part of this game for so long. Wish you a good luck elsewhere from a MG and hopefully we will maybe meet back in this game one day too.
Congrats to teams who unexpectedly promoted. There are now 3 Czech managers in PT too, amazing achievment. Nice to see teams from Japan and Sri Lanka in PT as well. Welcome guys! Oh and big props to Gazelle, really nice to see a team actually declined a promotion!

Congratulations to the "surprising" promoters! It will be great to especially see Ayubowan!, Meiji and Metinvest in the Pro Tour, definitely active guys who deserve it. Also nice to see Boeing, Project: Africa and Mobil stay in the PCT and not go down seeing how many promotions from the CT that were already made.
It's a bit sad to see a couple of the teams/managers abandoned, but one must understand it based on activity. Hopeully some of them will come back in a new shape with new goals in the 2016 season! |

Now I have a bigger salary cap than I thought. Maybe there are 1 or 2 South Africans who would like to join.

Thanks SN for giving us another shot. After last year's transfer disaster, I'm sure we'll step things up this time.
