Hi there.
It's been months since I've logged in on this site. I am terribly sorry for that.
I hope some of you missed me for my general input, and I'm pretty aware that quite a few of you missed me for ManGame reasons, at least for Strada Appia Antica, if someone even still remembers last October....
I don't know if I need to explain myself for you to take me back, but I want to.
Last October I went into a difficult place in my mind and in my life. Things went wrong in my life that shouldn't have gone that way and they affected me pretty hard.
(don't worry, I've never been suicidal or something)
Therefore, I first subconsciously, later rather consciously decided to take a break from most things that were "standard" in my life up to that point.
At first, that was merely a byproduct of my complete mental and social shutdown.
Later on I saw the chance in that so that I could see where my priorities should lie and what to focus on to be happy again and subsequently have a good life where the mistakes that I made would never be repeated.
This community always was a big part of my life up to that point, and sometimes I felt pretty clearly that it took too much room in my daily life and had a personal priority that it does actually deserve for the people that are here and the content and discussions, but that would hinder me from having the best start into adulthood and a clear enough mind AND everyday activity schedule.
Time went by and I realized since about Christmas that I should return here.
I don't know if any of you know this issue, but maybe when some of you are gone from a community for a long time or haven't spoken to an old friend in a long time, even if you dearly want to get back to talking again, there's a strange feeling of fear inside of you. Fear about having disappointed those people by leaving, about what or who changed which way...those things that prevent you from going back first.
That happened to me. I wasn't in Australia's outback or something, I could've just typed in the URL in my browser and return. It just wasn't that easy for those reasons.
Either way, I watched John D win in Dubai yesterday and that kinda gave me the motivation today to just think fuck it and so I wrote this.
Here you go. I'm back. Possibly a bit less active than I used to be, but I still hope you'll accept me back.
To all the people who missed me in off-season conversations, I apologize.
But my biggest and sincere apology goes to SN and all the ManGame managers that I disappointed by disappearing right in the middle of reporting a race without notice. Even the technical difficulties I had in doing so don't justify leaving someone else to finish it.
Also I apologize for obviously missing a big part of the season. I haven't read any reports or even looked into the discussion threads yet, but I will do so shortly.
I would understand if this absence is enough of a reason to disband Team Puma - SAP, but I dearly hope my regular activity before I left and all the blood, sweat and tears I invested into the ManGame over the years convinces you enough to give me a second chance and let me continue this wonderful project that has been a bigger part of my happiness in the last years than you guys probably can imagine.
I promise I will try to catch up and be an active part of the race discussions again, and I try as hard as I can to give you the promise of not leaving this way ever again.
Welp, this was long.
Anyways, yeah.
TL;DR
Hi again.
Last but not least a big thank you to Alakagom who became a RL friend outside of this site and helped me through some parts of this whole situation.
Thanks in advance,
cio93

Wow, why didn't I do this way earlier. Sorry guys. Sometimes a human mind is pretty stubborn and pretty stupid.

Glad to see you back, no need to apologise for looking after yourself - real life comes first always. Good to see you doing better, was a bit shocked when you disappeared suddenly like that so your return is welcomed
Though I will admit the division of your talents had already started to begin in your absence. Sorry about that |

I don't think anyone should have to justify themselves after an absense, especially with as much community history and pedigree as yourself. Simply welcome back and it's nice to know you are ok (i don't know about other members but when i see an active and established member go quiet i do actually kind of worry).
Plus it means Jesleyh can't get his grubby hands all over Kelderman, huge bonus alongside having a great member back around.

Dang, thanks for making me feel like shit again just 10 minutes in
Well it was to be foreseen that there was no need for my corpse to be cold already for that to happen...Let's wait and see if you better have a plan B or if you all are lucky.
I assume you fought with SotD over Demare and Daniel while roturn gets Herklotz and Sütterlin.

Don't you go taking the moral high ground on me, we had a very similar discussion about Venchi last season
Your summary is about right there except add Heine into the mix. It's only September though in game and your riders were asterisked in my targets list because I was maintaining hope you'd return |

Welcome back Cio. You have no need to apologise. I am going through a few personal problems right now myself and it isn't nice so it is understandable that you were away from the site for a long time but I am happy to see you back

Spoiler Not anymore I guess. Even though he missed his most important race.
Good to see you back. Pretty sure a few of us were a bit worried about your absence. So it's good to hear you have sorted things in your life.
So welcome back. |

I'm mad at Alakagom for not telling me about Avenir signup in time
Actually I'm impressed the game's already past that, so that's rather a good sign.
To be honest, I realized my "Puma world domination strategy" went over my head and I became too obsessed with the ManGame future, so in case I am allowed to continue, I actually think it's better to have slightly weaker riders.
(FYI I planned as far as 2019. Let it be said, that's not healthy guys, especially if you don't even know what tomorrow brings in the real world!!)

It's great to see you back here. The MG had long awaited your return. Reasons like these, in my opinion, are very valid, and despite not having gone through situations like these I know how much worse feelings can affect your hobbies and personal life. It's good to see you got over these, as it's definitely not easy.
