We've had the time trial, now for the road race! This HC race over the Snaefell circuit is hard enough to drop the weaker riders but as history shows, often favours a larger group. A group of 3 won in 2012 but a chasing group of 11 were not far behind, while it was a 10 man sprint last year as Ventoso took the victory.

He is back in the race, as is 2012 winner and home rider Bellis - they both have attributes well suited to the course.
The favourites:
| Hill | Sprint | Di Maggio | 82 | 63 | Dowsett | 80 | 66 | Ben Nasser | 79 | 70 | Bobridge | 79 | 69 | Skujins | 79 | 67 | Betancourt | 79 | 67 | Zaini | 79 | 65 | Barrio | 79 | 65 | Monfort | 79 | 64 | Roy | 79 | 64 | Bellis | 78 | 74 | Mehr-Wenige | 78 | 66 | Hoogerland | 77 | 67 | Zeits | 77 | 64 | Lejman | 77 | 59 | Cobo | 77 | 55 | Ventoso | 76 | 78 | McEvoy | 76 | 75 | Vastaranta | 76 | 75 | Rabon | 76 | 72 | Simon | 76 | 72 | Anuar Aziz | 76 | 66 | Hatanaka | 76 | 65 | Visconti | 76 | 64 | Tiernan-Locke | 76 | 63 | Taborre | 76 | 62 | Jiao | 76 | 60 | Weening | 76 | 59 | Kump | 75 | 77 | Wegmann | 75 | 73 | Anderson | 75 | 72 |

Well, since Oz took out the TT it's only fair if we get the RR.
Hopefully having 3 co-leaders pays off.

If Ventoso once again survives in the leading group, he won't be easy to beat, to say at least. Hoping for a more selective race, for obvious reasons then
Will be interesting to see, if our team can keep the current streak. Won't expect Bobridge to make it four consecutive victories now, but this race should suit him quite well with a not too shabby sprint and his strong acceleration. But there's definitely a few really strong finishers, so the best puncheurs need to make this race as hard as possible. Top-10 is my minimum goal, Top-5 would be cool and anything better a huge bonus to Roger's success in the TT-event here.
Looking forward to an hopefully thrilling race anyway!

I feared there for a sec that I might actually have sent Mendes. We're in here for the dev ride, so a break would be very awesome and most definitely the height of it for us.

Oz is certainly on a roll. They are performing good and have the needed luck to win by few ms!
It nearly seems as if they cannot lose atm so my money is on Bobridge to win this.
I think that either a solo attack or more likely a sprint from a small group seems most realistic. In the second case, Bellis might be the man to beat.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Dowsett is the 2nd best rider on hills in this race, but has an awful record here - 15th and 16th. So who knows what will happen. (Well, I do, since it has been played )

At least he's still trying.. Opposing to Gautier, who had an even more awful "outing" here last season

Not sure what to expect here. Hopefully the AMEXpc trio of Mehr-Wenige, Taborre and Kump will keep us in the mix and collecting some very valuable points.

It's been a while since Di Maggio has raced, so I hope he can come back with a podium. With Oz' great form lately, my money is on Bobridge, though.

Vety tough startlist, but that was expected. Rabon is one of the stronger attackers and finishers, so he can surprise maybe. Still, top 15 is the goal.

Hoping for a more selective race, for which Ben Nasser would be the favourite. Really need a good result here after a poor June |

That's quite the startlist! Still want a top 5 from Monfort though.

Well it's as if they had read exactly what I said - Mullen got in the break, but the team failed to do shit otherwise. I can be happy enough with the performance, since XP is the only reason we're here anyway.

Oh my... This is too good to be true! Bobridge as my next leader to deliver big time, which of course must have been a realistic chance, but... Well.. We've seen favorites failing before, so our most recent streak of 4 consecutive classics victories is just crazy! Dunno what to say, it's insane stuff going on for Oz right now.
Thanks for the report and gratz to all others, who did so well here. I won't get tired of leaving a note towards Avin, as Rabon went for a nice result here. I'm hoping for this being a sign of what to come, mate! Dowsett though... It's one of those mysteries, i guess.
